Pakistani ICBM

Turning a capability into a practical solution takes years. A lot of tests and trials and perfecting the design.
It's not just a one night game.

From what I know though, we already have test platforms available and waiting for a go to be tested, or we might have already tested them in another country.

You are seriously misinformed on almost everything you wrote above.
Pakistan didn't have the technology? Or was Pakistan waiting for you guys to blow your thingy to divide the sanctions that would follow? You might want to do some research on that.
I think that much can be derived from the above info that we already have working prototypes, we just wont test them.

.
C'mon, "advanced CAD" is no alternative to actually building and testing ICBMs  Lets not become Iranians....

I'm sure our scientists/engineers can make missiles reaching 5k range.....but they have not made em.

Any functional ICBM deterrent Pakistan builds will either be submarine based or 10,000km+ range. Otherwise, 5-6k missile won't give us any value.
I told you long ago work on Missile is complete. @Rafi is not telling whole story Missile was ready way back but testing it would have serious global implications and right now Europe or USA is not that of a big threat to us. The moment we feel threatened by NATO and USA which in my opinion sooner or later we will the Missile would be revealed. Until than just enjoy the news.

@Horus
What does revealing missile mean when you dont have the quantity to actually use them? Kuch pass be to hona chaie ha na janab.

We are already in the spot light through the nukes.
Having a delivery vehicle to deliver them to Tel Aviv or Washington will only keep their folly in check and give us more breathing space.

They only understand the language of strength, like what China and Russia have done to them. When they see you are weak and can't challenge them directly, they will keep exploiting it.
Remember thee are always things that when said at the right time have the maximum effect. Somethings on the other hand are best left unsaid to invite unnecessary attention. We HAVE the capability is a totally logical thing but if we say we HAVE the missile then the connotations are different and invites questions and attention which can make life difficult. For instance why does Israel have 300odd nukes when its neighbours are all bhookas and nangaas froom the capability point of view. However you never see the ISraelis boasting their capabilities rather they choose to make no comment. I hope you get the drift. SO we say our missiles are for defensive purposes and we have NO AGGRESSIVE designs on any nation what so ever. So be Mr goody twoshoes till the gloves come off.

As long as the other sides just take those words as gospel without independent confirmation and supervision, this would work.

You know nothing is taken as gospel in international politics. Everything is Kosher when it suits national interests. However this about building a national narrative and projecting it ad nauseum so any orifice that opens the sme narrative comes out. Underneath the facade make all your preparations and know that everyone else is doing the same. This is the way of the world and one should follow it.

MOD EDIT: Quoted a troll post without editing out the abuses in it

On topic I agree with @araz

Yes they did win some battles (superpower status allowed them) but the war was won by pakistan & friends a few years ago. Slowly now coming to the public eye..

On topic I agree with @araz

And you comparing pakistan with russia and china tells me alot..

Agreed 100%. International geopolitics 101. :D

Knowledge is good but when one does not have the capability/technology to engineer a product, its importance diminishes. We are still importing technology legally & illegally and paying alot for it to put it in use in missiles being produced.
For now, let's quietly follow up on SLV updates...
People don't have much idea about the restrictions Pakistan had to face internationally. Only now have we got the human resource with adequate specialization to work towards more indigenousness. And still we lack the facilities especially for the electronics...
Its not only about international pressure or resources. There is no requirement for the damn thing (a 5500km range ICBM). The patriots bleeding green and chanting about evil Muricans need to realize that for them you need a 10,000km+ class ICBM, for which we have no resources, unless they turn Pakistan into North Korea.

Pakistan's all current and foreseeable threats are addressable by 4000km-range system.

Pakistan Should work to get SLV contracts from the likes of Turkey for Polar launches so it can build up the SLV facility at Sonmaini into a modern facility. Pakistan can test its own SLV vehicles for civilian applications. (BTW if Somalia ever gets a stable government gain it can earn some money by building up a eastward facing launch facility over the Indian ocean from just north of Kismayo on the Equator; great location; no land east of it for at least 3300 km till the maldives; but those can be avoided and then you have to go out 6200 km till you get to Indonesia.) Launches from Pakistan's coast southwards wont face land until Antartica nearly 10,000 km away. Pakistan can try to woe Turkish FDI for a launch facility for their Gokturk program.

Some information sharing with the Turks my also benefit the Pakistan SLV program and vis-versa.

------------
back to the topic:
A useful program Pakistan can work on is rebuilding its Shorter Range Missiles like Shaheen 1A with modern materials. Its a 12 meter long 1 meter diameter single stage missile. If its casing was made with modern a carbon casing and used modern propellants, an externally similar missile could have 2-3 times the range as before.

Then adding in the Chevlaine decoy enhanced warhead or Boost Glide warhead for dodging enemy ABM systems can really make a small very mobile system even more deadly. India wouldn't be sure with the system was a regular Shaheen 1A or an enhanced version. Then building 50-100 of thee missiles would tie up their intelligence agencies chasing to make sure they can do a successful counter-force first strike.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaheen-I

To Visualize What this missile would look like the exact same dimension 39 feet long and 40 inches diameter look at the cancelled US KEI missile. This is the exact same dimensions as the Shaheen 1A and you can see where Pakistan can really go with modern materials and propellants, and was turned into a 2 stage missile.
https://www.globalsecurity.org/space/systems/images/kei-sm3-image01.jpg

The Shaheen 1 only has an apogee of 100 km.
http://www.astronautix.com/s/shaheen1.html

While the KEI, altough an interceptor has an apogee as best as i can determine of 700-750 km per this graphic (Someone can correct me if i'm wrong)
https://www.nap.edu/openbook/13189/xhtml/images/p27-01.jpg
mass is only 7500kg
https://image.slidesharecdn.com/ant...allistic-missiles-ii-20-638.jpg?cb=1439480678

more information:
https://www.tonyrogers.com/weapons/kinetic_energy_missile_interceptor.htm

Its advanced propellant allows it to reach 6 km/sec speed after only a 60 second burn up to an apogee of 700-750 km; or fast enough to intercept an ICBM.
Range if turned into a ballistic missile could be 2200-2400 km. (I'm not a rocket scientist so someone will have to check the math).

Here is the calculator I used
http://www.convertalot.com/ballistic_trajectory_calculator.html

Also its 1 meter diameter makes it perfect to be turned into a SLBM for the PN.
BTW the following video can show you what a Canistered KEI version of the Shaheen 1A would look like

@AUz @Awan68 that was some "excellent" discussion there. Why don't you two share personal contacts so that you can continue this enlightened debate at a personal level? This is a public forum and many of us members here wont understand the gems that came out from both of you.

No personal insults, abusive language or quoting any such post!

Warning issued.

@Awan68 you have multiple warnings already and one more warning will get you banned so please refrain from such language in your posts.

Even Musharraf (I don't consider Strategic Policy making to have been his strong suite) got this right - Pakistan (or any country) will prepare to counter the enemy's capabilities, not the enemy's intentions.

Of course, and absolutely correct. All major players do the same, preparing to counter their estimations of the true capabilities of their rivals, rather than what is claimed for public consumption, to the limits of what can be afforded by the economy.

and for which enemy we are building this system?wastage of resources.
