Really ? I suggest you to look into the remaining contestants. One of them is a Christian girl and people voted her over Muslims.
The reason why this Hindu singer got out was not because of religion but because of his illiteracy. He couldn't read and write therefore he struggled to memorize lyrics. The Judges were generous in the fist place to select such candidate.
