well western media shows only bad things about pakistan it has always been beautiful infact fashion shows and many pakistani models has been around openly for years living and working peacefully in pakistan without hassle and alot of them are well known within pakistan but only recently it got attention in international media coz of the first fashion week heck even peshawar held it's own well publicized fashion show lol pakistan is not not as dull an repressed as people like to have you believe.
The fact that we were the first muslim country to elect a female leaders and that we also have the highest representation of women in parliament in south asia and only ones to have had female generals in the army shows and now one of the few muslim countries other than turkey to have women fighter pilots show we are much ahead of other muslim countries in womens rights although overall for girls literacy rate is still very low,abuse against women is common and we still have a much work to do to make things even better.
