Pakistani F-16 "Engaged" One Of The MH-47G Chinooks Three Times During Bin Laden Raid

Abbottabad is a near the Indian border and is a heavily militarised region and flying all the way from Afghanistan without being shot down in a slow moving helicopter is nigh impossible.

There was NO OBL IN PAKISTAN. If people keep believing in fairy tales and nonsense, then they are no better than little kids who love to hear bedtime stories before going to sleep.

seems a lot of BS....

it wasn't even a raid... just a pick up assignment with understanding from General Kiyani...

they are just trying make a mountain out of a mole hill.
Gen Kiyani was the biggest tool Pakistan army ever produced, below yahya but this one guy caused so much damage to pakistans reputation..

Not a surprise. The Americans never got a parade to insult OBL as they wanted. Now they are fantasizing and adding more spice to their wetdreams.
No pictures, no party.

I think the whole thing was staged alongside the pindi boys as an election stunt.

It was a scripted drama. From start to end. Too many holes in the story.

Even the New Yorker has published an article saying it was an inside job......

Now, some Indians might understand why F16s took out their jets so prolifically using AMRAM missiles! Pentagon connection to Pindi is much deeper than the Hindutva/RSS/BJP anticipate! Afganistan is going to be the mother of all shocks for them....

They were here on our invitation, and what followed may only be described as a result of sheer incompetence and stupidity from our top leadership. Obama told the world part of a story that what was meant to be kept quiet, and our guys were caught with their pants down and with no back up plan.

I highly doubt that's the case. The details keep getting more and more exaggerated, the more years that pass. By 2030, there'll be a new detail saying Pakistan launched nuclear missiles at the fleeing helicopters, but luckily the US mobile suit gundams that were deployed for the operation cut then to pieces with their energy swords.

I see someone is a Gundam fan.

I would slot Pervaiz M., into this lot as well whose go-at-it-solo approach really hurt Pakistan. As he south personal approval of his position he sacrificed on the alter Pakistan's sovereign rights.

We are going off-topic but this blaming Pervez Musharraf keeps coming up in this forum and so another rebuttal by me.
Put yourself in the shoes of Pervez Musharraf on Sept. 11, 2001. A superpower at the height of its power was hit hard in its citadel and humiliated. The attackers were of Arab origin and many of them had taken sanctuaries in the so-called Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. And that Emirate was propped up by Pakistan above all. It was not hard to see what would have happened to Pakistan in the Fall of 2001 had there not been a full cooperation!!! NO ONE. I MEAN NO ONE would come to Pakistan's aid those days should America go against Pakistan. The superpower was enraged!! India had openly offered all available resources to America. This was a chance for India to finally crush Pakistan!! And don't bring up Pakistan's God-damned Nukes: They would have been neutralized before even deployment would begin as they would be even now should they threaten America or Israel.

After the attacks on American embassies in Africa and the USS Cole attack, it was only a matter of time Al-Qaida would drag Pakistan into a war which was essentially an Arab-Israeli-American war. Pakistan had no tactical, let alone strategic interests in their wars and other than supporting the Taliban in Afghanistan, Pakistan had not even ideological reasons to support the Arab terrorists of Al-Qaida. None. None then, none now!

Coming back to my point about Musharraf. He had very very little wiggle room after 9/11. And yet he managed to sort of LIMIT the support given to the Americans couched in the language of 'logistics' support and air-passage. Watch numerous press conferences Musharraf had with Colin Powell and Armitage to see what Musharraf was trying to emphasize: Develop Afghanistan, incorporate 'moderate Talibans', don't let the Northern Alliance advance beyond the Shumaili Plains to advance on Kabul. He tried hard but he had very limited options. I am sure even the rulers of the Arab world and China/Turkey strongly advised Pakistan to be compliant.

BTW, contrast Musharraf with Zia ul Haq in 1979/80 after the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Pakistan certainly could have stayed far less involved. This was a war which America could have ignored as the Soviet invasions into some Warsaw Pack countries were ignored in late 1960s. But Zia offered way more to America then needed because Zia was a pathetic Mullah too steeped in religion to know the consequences of his actions.

F-16s never engaged anything. they were not even scrambled. the Chinook went to Terbela first to a Pakistani base and then flew off to Afghanistan.
this Chinook was omitted from mention in initial stories and people were fed BS that the crew of 2 Black hawk helicopters along with a dead body and cache of information was accommodated in the remaining black hawk helicopter;.

once the black hawk had crashed, the operation as no longer secret. According to a Pak military officer I spoke back then, a Pakistani Huey escorted the team to Terbela where the Chinook arrived and took them away. until late there was never a mention of Chinook so I didnt accept his story thinking he was just covering the embarrassment that Americans sneaked into Pakistan without knowledge or permission.

I find it surprising that Obama felt more sensitive towards showing the dead OBL but was fine killing OBL. throwing the corpse in the sea also defies any logic.

Pakistan suffered extreme level of terrorism right after the operation for over a year who suddenly armed and supported TTP remains mysterious. the cache of arms recovered from TTP bases could equip battalions and garrisons.it has never been revealed how the TTP got hols of such high end military equipment at such large scale.

1.Each and every seal probably has a Go Pro and the SEALS according to the yankees had them during the night in OBL's compound so where is the footage of the Go Pro's.
2.Where is OBL's body you killed a terrorist responsible for thousands of death and then you bury his body at sea, even not keeping it for further investigation.
3.OBL lived near PMA in a very distinct compound with 5.5 feet high walls with barbed wire on top.And who the *uck makes a 2.1 feet high wall infornt of his bedroom?
