People in Karachi should let the world know that they support implementation of Article 149. Time to come out in the streets in massive numbers and show banners of Article 149 and Imran Khan.

At minimum, people of Karachi should schedule a referendum for implementation of Article 149, decide this matter through polls.

If people of Karachi want to stay in their cozy homes in these dire times (do nothing) then do not expect much from Federal Government. Make your peace with the filth and stop complaining.

His biggest behwaqoofi or naivety was that he thought the babus of bureaucracy will be loyal to him. He should have fired the top 2-3 grades of bureaucracy the day he took office. A fresh start, a clean slate was needed. We are all suffering from IK's hesitation and lack of aggression.

It would be a great idea to fire almost all bureaucracy and hire new university graduates. This would improve employment numbers for those fresh off of school, gotten rid of corrupted "babus", and boosted Imran Khan's popularity.

That I can agree with....He should have started fresh but that would leave a lot empty...country needs a lot to keep it running.

And who would he choose? How would he choose when some have fake degrees or connections? Or if he take xyz...people would always find connection of him and call it safarish of some form coz removing someone ...that alone is an ordeal esp if xyz has backing

When you see pile of trash not picked up for months (actually years), you don't care about littering anymore..

What about the transfer of power to city/ district governments? Where is Anti Corruption Department?

It's not easy, but it's certainly better than what Pakistan has now, isn't it? For example, "babus" in bureaucracy like FBR or police force are deliberately sabotaging work so the government fails. Why shouldn't they?

Only solution is to replace with new blood. Being police officer or collecting taxes, isn't rocket science. I'm sure the graduates will be easily able to learn on the job. If not, you can always fire them too and replace. This is the problem with Pakistan, we don't have a corporate governance model because it was destroyed by nepotism and nationalization policies of the 1970's. Every department should perform like a company, poor performance means you are fired.

Bilawal is an arsehole, who should be muffed as soon as possible. We cannot allow these criminals to blackmail Karachites. Karachi has to be set free from the clutches of PPP for it to survive and flourish.

There wasn't a need for them to form government in Center.. agar sab aisa hi chalna hai because their hands are tide, why take the blame?

Any case, I think situation has worsened too much. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

1. Imran Khan should order Bajwa to declare martial law and make him civilian administrator
2. Dissolve the parliament
3. Form new constitution based on Presidential system, Imran can declare himself to be President
4. Dissolve judiciary as they have proven to be useless in the last two years, establish Shariah courts for quick speedy justice with Mufti's sitting at the helm - this will remove the backlog of millions of cases
5. Hand over control of water & sewerage of Karachi to Army Engineering, etc
6. Leave the WTO, screw the debts and the Reko Diq settlement
7. Redraw and Rename the provinces. Split larger ones in at least two or more. Make Karachi & Gwadar federal territories like Islamabad
