It is a professional insult for Pakistan Army to be shown waging "victories" on its own soil against poorly armed rag tag zealots.

Pakistan Army is a national institution, that is currently being misused by our corrupt leadership to score a few borwnie points with Americans for peanuts, or virtually free of charge.

Our armed forces have been raised and nurtured by our miserably poor people to protect the national boundaries. They cannot stop the attacks by slow fling drones on Pakistani soil. They are either incapable, or actually facilitating a foreign power in launching the strikes. In both cases it is a cause of great concern for the nation.

When you are getting arms from US and Financial aid from IMF and World Bank , then you can't carry the gun but you have to dig .

looks like reporters are embedded but the army is not highlighting it for their own reasons (what ever they may be)

I noticed that one of the guys actually had a drum magazine. wouldn't that make it harder to grip the forward part of the gun and make it uncontrollable during fully automatic fire.
Why is the army allowing these kinds of magazines to be used this is certainly not standard issue right

Turkish media knows how to report battles, as they are dealing with their own battles against PKK

their media is a bit sensationalist, but its very effective.

Their population is 'fired up' and angrily anti-PKK. In Pakistan, the lower income people are just numb. Rest just dont do enough or feel helpless; but that is starting to change it seems.

I notice this especially on Express News and Aaj TV ---which are having good anti-terrorist commercials. Nation newspaper also has good messages from time to time, condemning the terrorism and explaining how/why Islam can never under any circumstances condone such cowardice and violence.

I note that the P.A. and villagers employ one of the same techniques the Israeli Army does: they destroy the houses of the families of the terrorists, so they don't have a home to return to. The world criticizes Israel for it, "because they punish people who are not even accused, let alone convicted, of a crime.” Actually, while the Israelis usually destroy just one home, Pakistanis are making sure to destroy ALL the homes owned by the families of the terrorists. Perhaps Israel should take a page from the Pakistanis' book?

Just with one difference. Israel destroy all homes building at the village and create a land, build new buildings and call more jews to "Rob" the land of Palestine. While PA destroy the houses with the help of those villagers, and try protect those villagers. from future TTP invasion, without getting anything.
