Pakistan will not tolerate foreign pressure on IP project: spokesman

I don't doubt that for a second. If you think I am going to defend India and its rotten ministers, bureaucracy and sleazy culture - you are mistaken. I hate them with a passion. The sad thing I can't do anything about it except cast my vote.

Be wise next time

This is not the case, I know there is a pressure on Pakistan to drop this venture, but the way this report is written absolutely indicates to Iranian propaganda to instigate Pakistani against KSA. In my opinion, if KSA is willing to stop this venture, then it has to supply Pakistan with oil and gas itself, if not then no one has the right to interfere.

KSA did not extert any pressure to stop the IP pipeline, that is some extra spice added by PressTV propaganda machine.
KSA just offered to pitch in with oil loans to solve energy crisis on short term.

KSA has kept its nose out of Pakistan-Iran affairs and we should reciprocate by keeping our nose out of Iran-KSA affair. During Iran-Iraq war and Kuwait-Iraq war Pakistan stuck to strict neutrality and that was beneficial in the long term.

As of now we have three factions in the Arab world who despise Pakistan, Iraqi, Palestinenans and Kuwaits and fortunately none of them is a major political power. Thanks to our neutrality no harm was done.

This has gone farther than just securing oil and gas for Pakistan. Now it's a part of an active strategy pursuing development of a security-cum-economic block in the region.

That's what I am talking about, I hate saying this, but, I would be lying if I tell you that Pakistani intervention against Iran would serve it's interests in the long term.

nope it wont, there are plently of iranian terrorist proxies in our land and people like Aryan_b whose loyalties are with Tehran. Been through their experience where Pakistan became a literal war ground between Saudi and Iranian backed proxies. Thats why neutrality is the best option.

that is excellent i wish more would start swimming with the tide

yep and the tide will be in GCC favor as we are negotiating an economic and security pact with them which can easily tilt the balance if Arabs agree to grantee our energy security. End of the day, Pakistan benefits a lot more from GCC markets in terms of exports than Iran.

Yea but you have forgotten the american vision that goes with that:rofl:

I find it too hard to believe that GCC would want Pakistan to join their economic and military bloc, our geo strategic and national interests don't align with theirs.

I'm not saying that we should form a defence bloc with Iran, i'm just in favor of a neutral policy with regards to the GCC's and Iran rivalry and i want the IP pipeline to be completed so that our economic engine starts running without any further impediments, however if Iran and Pakistan become full members of the SCO that would bring wonders since it will involve the expertise of Russia, China, and the CAR's (and later on Afghanistan) and most importantly these countries interests align with those of ours.

Since Pakistan maintains close and cordial ties with Saudi Arabia, i take it as our duty to encourage dialogue and bridge the gap of misunderstandings between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Both Saudi Arabia and Iran have more in common culturally and in many other aspects as well than say israel, France, UK, and America.

Last thing we need is more wars in our region; wars which would cause immense devastation, losses in infrastructure, resources, and human lives. We would all end up in the stone age while our real adversaries will rejoice over our self destruction.
