BRICS countries are one selfish group of bastards when it comes to Economy.

Have we ever seen India and China working together except in BRICS and BASICS.

Every country does what is in its national interests and priorities. But priority is security and stability as of now while Chinese and indians have economic priorities hence the co-operation.

In recent times u saw us not participating in Saudi wars while u know we have helped them before in their crisis. Because a country who has gone through a series of embargoes when ever America and west doesnt need us anymore from 1947 to 1998. We have learnt a few lessons in International Relations (IR). that there are no friends and enemies in IR all that is are national interests thats all. And thats what we are doing. We now pick our battles and engage the enemy in our own way in our own time, like we did just now against terrorists when America and NATO has left the region.

Now however we need the regional co-operation in order to grow after this War on terror ends. And for that we had to improve our relations within the Asiatic and regional countries. Now we have found a few like minded partners in China, Russia, Iran etc etc Hence now we are getting in SCO and trying for BRICS.

Pakistan is actually a country of almost 200 million which makes it 8th largest in the world its just a matter of time since we shoot up economically, like we were in early 2000s. The thing that keeps us back is security and stability, and now that is also changing because of our armed forces.

All in all National Interests r key for a prosperous future.
