The question is what let to Indian Air chief make such a statement and that too right after US defense chief Mattis visited India? Is US finally prepared to offer India something on our F-16s that made Indian chief give such a bold statement? You may shred it off as conspiracy but there is certainly no harm in analyzing this angle as well. Mastan sb has long advocated about the possibility of this. I would also add that, by selling Jf-17 to Myanmar. India will use every influential and do every thing, to have a look into Jf-17 too.

US prepared to give something? is this the reference to the famous Kill switch? As far as capabilities and tactics, IAF has has enough of experience with F16's with USAF and RSAF.
I have always disagreed with MK about this side of it. Pentagons stance has been always been different from the Whitehouse. What trumps deplorable do or say has very little real implications on the ground.

First of all,targeting nuclear installations would surely meet resistance from pak air Force and there are 100s of other places where our nuclear weapons are secretly stored.they can hit it based on intelligence report but I don't think that Ms dhona have balls to do this.it requires courage.i see pak air Force even flying f7s.they fly their planes with complete command.there are many Indian nuclear installations that can easily be targeted using raad alcm while remaining in our air space and I am sure Pakistan has already increase it's range.don't consider raad range to be 300 km.it is more than that.pakistan has developed some great missiles and few of them are not even public.pakistan has realize that India is it's enemy number 1 and all our missiles are erected towards major Indian cities and it's not a joke.

Who is Ms dhona? How did you find out the designated targets of "all our missiles"?

One could argue that because it was nato and allies hence the codes were shared however the way US has started to dangerously woo India in an attempt to get India on an anti China bandwagon, sharing codes of Pakistani F16s is rather a small price to pay for the US?
Please keep in mind that F16 is the core of our deterrence and counter strike. Rendering it useless will be a huge blow to PAF.

Yes they are when it comes to their skills, strategic planning and skills are too very different categories. PAF is obsessed with the US hardware while the other arm of the Pakistan forces have gradually moved away knowing well how unreliable US is when it comes to arms.

Why do you think PAF is obsessed with US hardware? Even though they have operated French (Mirage 3/5) Russo-Chinese (F7, F7P, Jf17), CHinese (A5), why do you think there is this obsession with American Hardware,
Is there sound engineering, extremely high reliability and topnotch performance the factors that make PAF choose US hardware over others?
The obsession is not unwarranted, the all-round performance of a system like F16 is astounding compared to its piers. Kill-switch phenomenon is complete B.S. so much so that iranaian F14 Tomcats are still up against the USAF. Examples of french support to the Brits during falklands or Iraqi Sams which I am just hearing (forgive my ignorance), are very specific to the system. This is no longer the 70's, in today's date, PAF if needed can breakdown its' f16 and put it back together piece by piece.

Pakistanis dont need a lifeline from the americans against India. You are welcome to try though and find out.

You think IAF wouldn't factor this in .
If such a decision is made IAF would sent at least 300 fighters Su30s + Mirage 2000s + Jaguars at one go and would take out every thing it could leaving you with least chance of counter attack . Some would even carry nukes to respond immediately .

Sending 300 fighters and reducing us to least chance for retaliation sounds lot easy while typing on keyboard....!!! Even in 2008 when we never had additional 60 new and upgraded Vipers along with new 100 JF-17s, IAF wasn't able to apply his wet dreams. Now situation is lot more complicated....If your war mongering pseudo intellectuals are ready to give up half of their fleet along with the nuclear radiation in entire Eastern Punjab or Rajasthan, Haryana or Gujrat....you are more than welcome. !!
