Pakistan Wants Turkish MRAP Kirpi

Nadi Postoglu a project director at BMC the producer of the Kirpi MRAP has said that Pakistan wants the Kirpi MRAP. He said that the Kirpi has now become a world brand, Tunisia has increased its orders of the kirpi, Turkmenistan has just ordered some, Ukraine also wants some. Postoglu says that the U.S also produces MRAP's but that they are expensive unlike the kirpi.

So far 60 mine attacks were staged against the Kirpi in combat and no soldiers were killed in any of these attacks. The Turkish Army operates 620 Kirpi vehicles.

.
* F-16 upgrade given to TAI
* ASELSAN is heavily engaged in Pakistani sub systems
* Fleet tanker contract given to Turkish firm
* GENISIS upgrade for our OHP class frigate
* Contract for high speed boats under discussion
* MOU with Nurol for the possible production of Edger 4X4
* Havelsan contracted for PAF's advanced F-16/JF-17 simulator development
* Havelsan contracted for building our electronic warfare ranges

So just because we didn't buy T-129 mainly due to the US pulling strings and refusing to sell the engines, doesn't mean Pakistan is backing away from Turkey. Its a two way train, our cooperation with Turkey is deep rooted and mostly stays below radar. Pakistan has provided a lot of gear to Turkey as well, one way or another but no one will talk about it. Turkey makes very good MRAPs and armored vehicles, we hope to see a token deal on this soon.

They always say they wanted something but until now wanted it and then chose to go for an European or Russian one, and help their industries instead. We should take this kind of news lightly. We should rather focus on those other countries who already bought or other countries who show interest.

@Horus

That should answer your concern, my dear @atatwolf :) :)

Seems like nice vehicles would be nice to have TOT contract (Licenced production of these)
for 2,000 of these units

.
produce locally please
we really need to improve our military industry
if we simply keep importing defence equipment we are taking money out of pakistan and giving it to other countries
local production will not only keep money inside pakistan it will also create skilled engineers and technicians but can also lead to advance equipment for export

.
Pakistan shows interest for a lot of weapons systems but not many are inducted eventually. for the time being Pakistan seems to be going with the MaxxPro.

Also add Turkey helping us in developing AK-2 because what I heard is ASELSAN has played major role in designing and development of AK-2 also Pakistan is going test MPT-76.

I think Pakistan will go for these Kripi MassPro will never come in really large numbers or numbers we require.

Due to ongoing counter incergency operation Pakistan badly need this beast. I hope deal will be done this time.

yea TOT everything nothing short of TOT

either Turks share everything and give us all their TOT or no deal..

It is completely irrelevant and beside the point whether or not we have electricity, manpower, money and the infrastructure to support such demand.or Not. we want TOT and thats it.
@Zarvan we must demand the list of all projects in Turkey and then demand the TOT ..why should their scientists, engineers and workers benefit by making those items in their billions of dollars industry in their own country and feed their families. they must just TOT everything to us so that we can build everything here..

Sir Kripi and this Ejer if they are performing against PKK attacks should be produced by Pakistan. Our Muhafizz is a joke and Toyota pick ups are death traps we need MRAP in massive numbers
