TaimiKhan, your suggestion led to this cool link on P.A. relief operations:
Role of Army to Counter Floods as Natural Calamities

That's strange, i just clicked it again and it opened up the Army Aviation webpage, anyhow most probably some ISP related problem.

Here go to this site: Pakistan Army

Its the official website of the army, there click the Training Institutions button, a list will open up, in that list go to Specials to Arms Schools/Colleges option and you will again get a list, there at the 2nd last option you will get the Army Aviation School, click it and you will get some useful material with that you were looking for.

Try it and let me know if it works, should work this time :)

Pakistan is now begging US to send them helicopters to help flood relief efforts. Why don't Pakistan now place orders for dual use helicopters for Pakistan Army that can also be used in case of natural disasters.

Heavy lift helicopters would be great for Pakistan why not order a small number of Chinooks or Sea Stallions ?

To this point these seem to be the countries that have donated or helped in some way. Few countries are missing from the list but this is most of them.

* United States stated that it would provide 56,000 ready meals on August 1 and 2, twelve temporary bridges and two water-filtration-plants to help the flood-victims as part of a US$10 million aid-pledge. Commenting on the floods, the United States Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, stated, "The Pakistani people are friends and partners, and the United States is standing with them as the tragic human toll mounts from flooding in northwest Pakistan." Hillary Clinton personally donated $10 for flood-relief in an effort to encourage people to donate, no matter how small the amount. On 10 August, US announced another $20 million to provide relief for the affected,[32] taking the flood related aid from United States to US$ 55 million.[33] On 11 August, US increased its assistance for flood-ravaged Pakistan to $ 71 million.

* United Kingdom has dispatched a Royal Air Force C17 aircraft which is the RAF’s largest transport aircraft capable of carrying almost 74,000 kgs of freight and 138 personnel over distances up to 4,500 miles. The C17 has already taken a load of 500 tents to Islamabad, where they will be driven to Peshawar to help provide shelter for people driven from their homes by the flooding. Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has also acknowledged the slow international response and urged British public to donate generously. British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II has made a personal donation to the relief effort for flood victims in Pakistan, the queen gave an undisclosed amount via the British Red Cross. Additionally, the UK government "has now earmarked up to £31.3 million for the relief and recovery effort."

* Australia announced a A$5 million aid-package, including A$2 million of humanitarian assistance and a further A$3 million to assist with recovery and rebuilding. On 7 August, it doubled its aid-package to A$10 million, adding another A$5 million for the disaster-hit country. Australia also committed two C17 Globemaster aircraft to deliver emergency supplies and to assist relief efforts.

* European Union released 10 million euros to help Pakistan's flood victims on 11 August, as part of emergency aid to flood-stricken country.

* Saudi Arabia released a statement announcing the establishment of an air-bridge to ferry relief-supplies to Pakistan. In total Saudi Arabia has allocated US $100 million for the relief-operation.

* Turkey has donated US$ 5 million to Pakistan, in addition to 35 tones of humanitarian aid consisting of food packages, blankets, sleeping bags and beds. The country will further send three cargo planes with more supplies on 13 and 17 August.

* Kuwait has also donated US $5 million to victims of the severe floods in Pakistan, according to Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS).

* Canada announced that it would donate $2 million worth of emergency aid. $750,000 are expected to be donated to the ICRC for distribution of shelter-materials and water, sanitation and health-services, while the remainder goes to the WFP to provide much-needed food-assistance.

* China announced that it would provide emergency aid worth 10 million yuan (approx. 1.5 million USD) to help the flood-victims. The Foreign Ministry noted that relief-materials such as tents and medicine, will be delivered to Pakistan as soon as possible while paying sympathy to relatives of the victims and the flood-affected people in Pakistan and noting both countries' neighborly friendship. The Chinese ambassador to Pakistan traveled to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and expressed his condolences to those affected by the tragedy.

* Germany initially committed 1 million euros for the victims, which was further increased to 2 million euros on 6 August.

* Malaysia has also announced aid of $1 million to help people in flood-hit Pakistan.

* Denmark has donated 60 million DKr. ($10 million)

* International Monetary Fund (IMF) has also offered to discuss how to help Pakistan manage the economic impact of the floods.

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia will start airlifting relief supplies for Pakistan’s flood victims on Wednesday, an official statement said on Tuesday. The supplies were ordered by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah to alleviate the suffering of flood victims.

“The Saudi Royal Air Force will establish an air bridge to Islamabad to transport the relief supplies,” the statement said. The Saudi Finance Ministry has already arranged large amounts of foodstuffs, medicine, blankets and tents for the flood victims.

“We are coordinating with UN organizations to distribute humanitarian and emergency relief supplies worth $100 million, which the Kingdom had earlier allocated to support victims of natural calamities in Pakistan,” the statement said.

Pakistan’s worst floods have hit more than three million people so far and the death toll has climbed over 1,400, a spokesman for the U.N. Children's Fund said on Tuesday. Abdul Sami Malik said 1.3 million people were severely affected by the floods in the northwest.

Pakistani authorities are struggling to help victims of the flooding, many of whom have lost their homes and livelihood and say they had not received any official warnings that raging waters were heading their way.

Money is not a problem.. problem is Idiot leadership thats it!

We must have proper Service of First AID "Professional Ambulance and Fire Brigade Deptarement" in all over country

Atleast loaded with 30 heavy lifter helicopters along with 20 Helicopters like above one..

Amount is not a big issue... If govt ask extra from us we will ready to pay for that.. but atleast WE SHOULD "MUST" now plan to make proper Infrastructure of Ambulance Helicopters with professional team especially for such disasters. This is not first time.. we already saw lack of professionalism.. lack of helicopters.... lifters.... Trucks.... etc in 2005...

"kudha ka naam lo aur kuchtu sabak sekho kab tak lootay he rahogay kuch laga b loo ub"
