Turkish Navy Ship TCG BUYUKADA

Pakistan and Turkish naval forces will hold a bilateral naval exercise commencing from tomorrow with an aim to enhance interoperability and operational understanding.
Turkish Navy Ship TCG BUYUKADA arrived at Karachi today to participate in the exercise, which includes an elaborate harbour and sea phase. The visiting ship was received by Turkish Naval Attaché in Pakistan and senior officials of Pakistan Navy.

The exercise, being first of the series, is a landmark reflection of the historic ties between the two navies as well as a true manifestation of convergence of strategic interests of the two countries which will go a long way in promoting maritime security and stability in the region.

Pakistan Navy and Turkish Navy have been interacting since long in order to improve upon the level of coordination, interoperability and training. The current bilateral navel exercise will lay sound foundation for subsequent exercises between both the navies in future.

Turkish Naval Attaché?? @Horus and others, guys can you learn who is head of the TAF Office in Islamabad and his rank respectfully.

Normally Staff Colonels are sent as head military attachés but in Azerbaijan a general officer is the military attaché and even he has a seperate office supplemented by Staff Colonels/Commodore from all branches. I guess the case is maybe similar in Pakistan as well.

Yeah it is. F-512 TCG Büyükada, the second ship of the Ada-class corvettes built under the MİLGEM Project. Her namesake comes from the Büyükada Island near Istanbul which is the sister of Heybeliada Island where the Naval Cadet School Command is located (my ex-home, first ship was named Heybeliada).
Have you read my mention up there.

Same here...you'll get media from TCG Büyükada's visit. But I hardly expect so from the Moon-Star SAT Exercise. SAT's public friendly nowadays though.

Heck we didn't even know that SAT was stationed aboard TCG Büyükada's this Indian Ocean deployment.

You are in the Arabian as we speak..:)

DZKK OFFICIAL RELEASE
No: BN-571/2015

I am not gonna translate the entire text. Instead, I will write those I think are important.

- PN Fleet Commander, Naval Academy Commander, 18th Fleet Commander and the Commander of Surface Warfare School has been visited by the personnel of TCG Büyükada.

- TİKA (Turkish Cooperation and Development Agency) aid has been delivered to a local primary school.

- High ranking PN Officers have been briefed by the Defense Technology Engineering and Trade Co. about MILGEM and indigenous platforms built by Turkey.

- Following the port visit in Karachi, naval trainings have been conducted with Pakistani Naval Forces.
