I assume Iran is on board as well? There was a train running from Turkey to Quetta is that still running? but a excellent development revived and hopefully this time it will be completed and I can fulfil my dream of driving to Pakistan as well.

A really good news indeed. Pak-Turk relations are getting as close as Sino-Pak relations which is a good sign. Moreover Iran's involvement is a pleasant sign too. We should improve our bilateral relations with Iran or else there is a high chance they'll become a part of our adversary's plan.

Ok i will be selfish here and wont eve talk about the implications of such a link for our countries, even on a personal level, the idea alone is mouth watering. Just think of a road trip from Pakistan to Turkey via whole of Iran. It will be a life time experience, you wont be left wanting much after such a tour. Amazing!!!!

Yes, 'mouth watering' is the right term to describe a safe and efficient road connection between these three countries with so much diversity in cultures and geography.

PS. Only yesterday an Iranian-American friend texted me (jokingly): "You are a Middle Eastern Stubborn!'. I clarified: "No, South Asian Stubborn! Pakistan is not in the Middle East, Madam!".
