Pakistan has topped the list of countries that observed decrease in terror attacks according to the 2014 report issued by the US State Department. Report acknowledged Pakistan army’s success in operation against all the banned terrorist outfits including the Taliban and Haqqani network. It said that Pakistan saw the maximum decrease in terror attacks.

According to international media, US State Department has released the report that says that 95 countries of the world faced terror attacks during 2014. Overall increase in the number of terrorist attacks was 35% while the number of deaths increased by 81%. Iraq and Afghanistan topped the list where terrorist attacks increased while Pakistan topped the list of countries where number of terror attacks decreased.

Though the report says that sectarian and terrorist attacks have not ended in Pakistan yet the decrease is quite visible. Report also acknowledged Pakistan’s success in the Operation Zarb-e-Azb and also gave Pakistan the credit for targeting all the banned outfits.

It is pertinent to mention here that the United States has been repeatedly blaming Pakistan of playing favorites while going after the terrorists and even of ‘double gaming’. However, the report published by the US State Department is a proof that even the US now acknowledges Pakistan’s firm resolve to end the menace of terrorism from the region.

Last week, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa had also tweeted about the success achieved by Pakistan army in Operation Zarb-e-Azb. He said that a total of 2763 terrorists had been killed during one year of the operation while 837 terrorist hideouts had been destoryed by the Pakistan army.

This is good news.
But there is a threat of an APS type terror attack God forbid.
There are some countries in this world which don't want to see a peaceful Pakistan.

.
This is a very welcome news in these times . I am not a huge fan of Nawaz Sharif but his policies seem to be driving Pakistan towards stability .

.
It is visible everywhere in Pakistan.

Thank God, now the threat has gone down substanitally. Just compare it with 2008-2013 to get an idea.

With iron resolve we'll defeat domestic and foreign sponsored cross-border terrorism. IA.

Pakistan a nation of majestic resilience!

Nawaz Sharif kept dialogue going on for a year with TTP without any result . After Karachi air port attack it's army's decision to annihilate these Raw backed scumbags so credit goes to Raheel Sharif.

.
Thanks god kiyani is not leading the army anymore, otherwise we would have been in a much worst situation. That's the difference between coas like gen. Rachel with a vision and kiyani with no balls at all.

Lol. The whole credit is for Pak Army and especially Gen. Raheel.... Nawaz did nothing. It's army who is dragging this country to better future.

That's good news. However, only military offensive will not resolve the problem. One has to bring them back to society and regular life as well.

That's great news. ex-COAS Kiyani never took the action that US pressured him to sort out terrorisms, every Pakistan citizens blamed him for his favour silences and smoking. He lied to us that it is impossible to destroy them but current COAS Raheel Sharif showed us we can do it easily.

A clap cannot be made by a single hand . Although the military has been doing its part but the support given by the government is also helping them , please dont say that they have no choice but to do so .
The government has also started several different projects , CPEC being one of them. I am not taking any glory from the PA but merely pointing out that the government seems to be living up to if not exceeding its expectations .
