Pakistan To Send First Astronaut To Space In 2022 With China's Help

But this is not even a space program, just a type of joyride. One could argue the training program would be useful in some ways, but the journey itself would seem pointless, and yet Pakistan does deem it wise to pursue.
Again I will repeat myself for a third time...I do not control what a nation does. I arrived at a conclusion based on its pros and cons and I wrote my opinion on the matter.

If Pakistan deems it wise to send a Pakistani astronaut into space...I do not agree with it. I see it as nothing more than one of those "Guiness record" thing. It is just to be able to say that there's been a Pakistani astronaut in space. In terms of any useful knowledge gained...what exactly would Pak have gained? Does Pak have a space program or is going to have a space program(in the near future) where we will be sending astronauts in space? So then what exactly is the point? At this point with the economy on the brink of collapse and an insane amount of debt...it's better to concentrate all efforts and resources there.

So now then do u have an argument against MY take on the issue? Or r u gonna keep telling me what a nation is doing or not doing?

ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan plans to send its first astronaut to space by 2022 with the help of its close ally China, Minister for Science and Technology has said.

The selection process for the astronaut would start in 2020, Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said on Sunday.

China would collaborate with Pakistan in its space mission, Mr Fawad was quoted as saying by the News International reported.

He said that initially 50 individuals would be selected after which the list will be shortened to 25 in 2022. And out of them only one would be sent to space.

The Pakistan Air Force would play an important role in the selection process of the astronaut, the report said.

He said the collaboration of Pakistan and India in the fields of science and technology could prove fruitful for the region.

Mr Fawad said Pakistan was the second in Asia after the then Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), which had sent its rocket into the space in 1963.

The Pakistan Space Science Education Center is playing an important role for the promotion of space sciences in the country, he added.

Last year, Pakistan launched two indigenously-built satellites into the orbit, using a Chinese launch vehicle.

The satellites were launched onboard the Chinese Long March (LM-2C) rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre located at the Gobi desert, China, The Express Tribune had reported.

One of them was a remote sensing satellite (PRSS1) a dual-purpose Earth observational and optical satellite.

The second test satellite launched was a PAK-TES-1A to enhance satellite manufacture capabilities in the country.

Lots of space programs are stopped by last fail of Long March 5, looking forward to the resume.

My friend its GIGO.
Simple.

99% Indians here make/will make sense unless and until you Troll/Ask for Trouble.

We Indians Admire South Korea and Israel for what these little nations achieved with hardwork. We all Respect China for Their Accomplishments. We Really feel proud of their Scientific Marvels and consider them to be our Role Models... ( But as I said, Our path has to be and will be a bit different ).

Thank You.

Many guys watch movies and dream to do what they see in their "Heros". The Pakistani Astraunaut will be a Hero.. for the nation and Im sure Your Kids and Youth will Dream of Reaching Space .. like their neighbors...China and India did.

There are many many other things through which you can motivate a nation. Useless space missions is one expensive and useless way. What have india achieved? Have u motivated your people to come out of religious extremism? No, infact its increasing. Have u motivated ur ppl to respect women?
In current times its cheaper to use hired rides to space for satellites and other equipments.
