US and Allied forces have asked Pakistan for help in the evacuation.
Pakistan has agreed to help.
US + Allied forces will station 3k to 4k troops in Karachi. Pakistan will issue visas for them.
Prior to transfer to the US, they will be kept in Pakistan for a month. Accommodation will be arranged by Sindh Govt.
Flts from Kabul will possibly start landing tomorrow.
Due to rush at Islamabad airport, Karachi was chosen.

Is this due to Quad 2.0, that everyone seem to be ignoring?

"Geo economics" 😉
Its not a military's base, nor a air base, no drone

A temporary stay that'll last a month or max 6 months, its part of the evacuation

We've had bad history of this stuff in the past so we'll see

Agreed.
If this is true, it will be a bitter pill to swallow, but at the end of it, this is the price for being seen as Allies again. Pakistan must get the US to stop the blame game and accepts Pakistan as a genuine Ally (and behaves accordingly), and accommodate its concerns as well.

This is the PM’s way of being a partner in peace, not a partner in war, as he stated he wanted to be. It will also help Pakistan’s international image and allow Pakistan to better gets its economic interests addressed.

I just hope the Pakistani military has a tight cordon of this place, and the intel to prevent, god forbid, what happened in Kabul airport happening in Karachi. A lot of Afghans live in Karachi, the identities of those coming should be kept a secret.

If this news is even slightly true Bajwa and Imran Khan can pack their bags. US or NATO presence in Pakistan won't be tolerated.

That’s why they better be kept out of sight and basically under 24/7 guard/watch. Confined to their hotels or at accommodations at the airport.

Like I said in an earlier thread, we are going back to a state like the 90s.

This better payoff in getting all foreign impositions lifted (like FATF, and all other BS restrictions) and the economy booming at the very least because if this is one sided, you are probably right, both the PM and COAS could have to pack their bags. Pakistan needs to be compensated for the 20-40 lost years in these Afghan wars, as a frontline state in other people’s wars. We need guaranteed FDI, as well as help in reconstructing Afghanistan so all the refugees in Pakistan can go back. The wars are over and they need to make peace amongst themselves.

These Afghans transiting through Pakistan should also have to sign something acknowledging the help Pakistan is giving them, so that down the line the can’t be spitting venom without being called out on it.

I don't trust Geo news as a source to be honest.
