Instead of buying sanction prone F-16, pakistan should invest that 3-4 billion dollers in her economy, and To produce more Electricity, so we can strat production at our mills and factories and generate more $$$, currently we are cash starved.

Gentlemen,

What should I call you people----after all these delays and issues at hand----don't you get it by now that the acquisition of JF 17 blk 2 and FC 20 is a long process from signing the contract to assembly, manufacturing, testing, weapons assimilation, integration and full deployment.

F16 blk 52 is still the better bet----still the best aircraft worth every penny. It is a good decision and should have been enforced two years ago---a total of 100 blk52 and other mlu upgraded F 16 are a massive force multiplier for a small country like pakistan.

Sir sorry but i din't expected you to say this specially at this point. look at the relation, just a week ago they blocked 800million $ of CSF/Aid etc, and you are saying we should buy more of these f16 when it is clear now that US is leaving afghanistan in next few years, 30000 soldiers out of afghanistan in next few months, Isn't it the same mistake that we made in 88/89, although 1986 pressler amenmend was passed but we didn't even took it seriously, even bigger blunder when PAF orders more f16 in 88/89 although soviet withdrawl agreement was already signed, we knew the american from the past experiences as well but still a big blunder, imagine if we had ordered 40 M2k in 88/89 instead of those peace gate III/IV order, also i don't have to remind about the 90's sanctions and what was the situation of spares during kargil war. and i think every one knows the terms and restrictions these toys come with.
Sorry sir but i disagree, we should not buy more of these F16. Why not wait for 2 more years and get FC20 in bigger numbers. which is if not better than almost equal to blk52 but less expensive and no sanction threats.

Why is there great difference in opinion between people and elected Representatives of people ( as seen in PDF ? ). No doubt F-16 is a legendary fighter, but i must say pak politicians have great love for US. Dug a hole and US pushed them into it..just short of closing the hole now.

Sorry to ex uniforms here but im fed up of this millitary top brass now. im really sorry but this millitary top brass will lead us to no where. on one side they take punga with americans and then they love their equipment. now what the hell is logic behind such a move if true, look at the relation, look where we are heading, US is not even paying you the CSF money and you just want to have more of these fancy toys at double the cost of what FC20 costs.

This thing would have been justified if China would have been the China of 90's. Just look at China. They are improving at a very fast pace when it comes to military and weapons. J10, J11.J15 and J20. Like come on they are producing much better weapons than what they used to produce 2 decades earlier. And here we are. Still infested with that Gora loving mentality. In every war we got sanctioned by America and still Pakistani establishment wants to buy more American toys from the money of Pakistani tax payers so that Pakistani nation can remain slave of America. facepalm. Nothing else.

Ignoring the slightly cynical tone in your post.
The reason the F-16 is "loved" is because its the most cost effective option SEPARATE from the JF-17's and FC-20 procurement to beef up current combat capabilities. We have operated them for almost 36 years now.. and know the in's and out's of the airframe. We have everything that is needed in place for the F-16. So it only makes sense that if we are able to get more of them to supplement out existing fleet. The PAF will not think twice about it.

By the way according to one reliable member on another forum this purchase of 18 block 52s would have no bearing on the FC-20 and JFT projects.

lol its amazing isn't it, all the hu ha hu after the news regarding f-16's came to the scene , people messing around without realizing that the news is just what the writer thinks there is not official word for that, the analyst who has written this news/report himself is quoting another person belonging to Pakistan defence consortium ,and the person who is being quoted in this article by Usman Ansari isn't himself sure about it coz he said what he thought , even many people there are arguing on that and trying to find out whether this news holds solid ground or just a word of mouth , and don't forget there are many glitches in the article.

So before doing any hu ha atleast wait for the official words
