I don't understand when they can block access to over 72000 p0rn sites then how they just can't block access to some specific pages or blasphemous contents? All you need to do is put a ban on specific search queries and you're done.. Lame loosers trying to get some cheap attention..
its harder to block specific search queries... compared to blanket ban on youtube..

I second that, but its way better to do that instead of imposing ban on sites like youtube and google. What will students and professionals do if they can't access these sort of sites? I use google in my office like a thousand times daily, can't imagine working without it.. They should just impose ban on internet in Pakistan if they are going to take any such step..
This is what happens when you put idiots in charge and make them IT ministers.

Its not hard, KSA have such system, they just block a specific video on YouTube. Btw youtube is open here but that blasphemous video is just blocked.
Pakistans new IT minister has warned that Google could be blocked in the country if the company fails to remove blasphemous and objectionable material from its videosharing website YouTube.
Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Anusha Rahman Khan made the remarks on her first day in office yesterday while talking about Pakistans efforts to end a ninemonth ban on YouTube for hosting clips from the controversial film Innocence of Muslims.
Google, the parent company of YouTube, had rejected requests from the previous Pakistan Peoples Partyled government to remove the objectionable material and Ms. Khan said she hoped the company would listen to the new PML N government.
It all depends on our negotiation clout. If they persist with their stance, we can block Google in Pakistan as a last resort as there are many alternative search engines available on the web, Ms. Khan was quoted as saying by The News daily.
Pak
Just posturing I don't think the people of Pakistan will let the government ban Google
