I fully agree with not to get involved in this mess...and it is not our mess anyway (in fact the Saudis, if they had any brain, would and should have avoided it as well and should have chosen alternative solutions).

We should stay away from the dirty proxy wars and focus on our economy, education, defense, social cohesion etc. etc. etc.

Sure, KSA as a state, it's rulers, it's neighbours, it's current entity and our relations with regards to these all have the capacity to change. But the defence, upkeep and betterment of the Holy land is Pakistan's concern.

Saudis have provided us oil, money and other diplomatic goodies when we needed it, which we all appreciate. However sending your men for a ground invasion of another foreign territory is a different ball game, which many have a hard time comprehending. A solution to this could be that Saudi Forces themselves get deployed in Yemen, while the slack within Saudi Arabia is taken over by Pakistani Army so that there is no threat from within.

We need to keep well away from that war. Also, that solution is no good, the Saudis and GCC ground forces are not capable of taking on an insurgency and winning, especially long term. That's why they need us, IF that is indeed their intention and aim for the war.

The point is they never wanted a "balancing act" from Pakistan. Pakistan effectively offered them the same level of support as did India i.e. nothing but lip service. And its evident as how they busted open Pakistan and Turkey's desire to "Mediate"......The moment of truth has passed. And now everything's gonna be beating about the bush. Pakistan stayed on sidelines when they needed her the most i.e. before UN sanctions slammed on Hauties. Now even the US carrier is there in the gulf to supplement UN's order-the same mandate under which the PN's ships have been dispatched-.
