There ain't no ummah and both these countries have terrible human rights records themselves

Maybe at one point in history it did exist.

But not today. If Ummah existed Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Syria, and Yemen would not be in their current state.

Pakistan is not the thakedar nor the jamadar of the Muslim world.

Bangladesh should be at the forefront of helping the Rohingias since they border Myanmar.

Like it or not ... rohingya crisis can be resolved my only three countries : India,China and B.D. the rest as far as I can see are paying lip service.

I'm all for diplomatic and even financial aid (even though we have our own poor and needy) but we're not taking in anymore people. Not to be a jerk but we are full and we still have refugees from other wars.

Let Bangladesh, India, China and the two leaders of the Islamic world, Saudi and Iran, do their part in resolving this crisis.

Why though? On what basis? That we're a Muslim country? If that's the case then there are millions of our own Pakistani Muslims who are in need of help.

We are neither a wealthy country (like the gulf Arabs) nor do we have the political clout (again, like the gulf Arabs).

There's Bangladesh right next door to Myanmar and Rohingias are ethnic Bangalis and AFAIK Bangladesh's kicked us "evil Punjabis" out so now they should take care of their own people.
