Pakistan suspends Poonch-Rawalakot bus service

Amid heightening tensions between India and Pakistan on the Line of Control (LoC), the latter has suspended the Poonch-Rawalakot bus service.

No official reason has been given by Pakistan for suspending the bus service but the decision comes in the wake of increasing hostility between the troops of two nations along the Line of Control.

We are providing easy visa for Pakistan elders to meet their separated families and Pakistan putting all possible hurdles to keep them away. Not good for situation in south Asia. Looks like Aman ki Asha gone for toss

This is the old trick to try & show the world that the issue is localized to J&K, that peace & tranquility prevails all along the international border while the ' disputed' area remains turbulent, hence world attention must focus on J&K.

They shut the gates for trucks to cross now the bus service - both in J&K only.

The lahore - Delhi bus still runs coz thats thru the IB not LOC.

If they are so peeved, the train & bus service across the IB too be shut down by them but that would then show things differently.

perhaps it's a step taken to prevent further violence erupting, Pakistani's may be attacked by Indians or Indians may be attacked by Pakistani's.....
