This might be a sticky thread. I would keep adding examples every other day to show how these "journalists" and "activists" have been allowed to work against Pakistan and nothing is being done against them

agreed, most of these so called activists are foreign funded and our government/s are afraid to take action against them...molvis are easy target these days and are treated like they are refugees and not Pakistanis.
But Khadim Rizvi went too far so he deserved to be jailed.

I have discussed this in-depth with the people who can do something about it.

It is sad though , should our state act against them our external enemies will flare up to protect them, we can't risk it , we need to save our economy ,
By the grace of God one day when our eastern ancient enemy from the days of Badr is defeated once again , then we will have full hand and no one to stop us from wringing out these internal pest, I view them with more disgust than communists

Good find bro she got roasted for it. That's what Pakistani social media users need to do, literally storm onto their accounts and hit them with the truth and expose them for what they are.

The response is great and she changed her narrative afterwards, in one tweet described how outsiders are involved. As much as we can't stand them look how effective the Indian nationalists are with their hounding of 'anti nationals'.

Yes the marginalised exploited freedom fighters must be supported and their image softened. Pakistan Army has pushed them to this. BLF killed 14 people point blank in Ormara. They must have been overjoyed to be killed for such a sacred purpose, agree Mehreen?

We live in a democracy, and have civil liberties. Things like these happen in Saudi Arabia or Iran, we are not like them. The damage you will cause by attacking civil liberties will be far more greater than what these journalists are doing with their articles and tweets.

A tiny fringe in Pakistani journalism have such opinions which even a self-proclaimed 'liberal' like myself sometime find too much, as the quoted lady in OP. They maybe wrong some time but to equate them with a Harami like Khadim Rizvi, who not only blocked out parts of Pakistan's capital but also openly boasted about resistance until his so-called 'martyrdom' is going too far. These liberals are not doing too much damage to Pakistan. They are NOT inciting violence. Heck, some of them will come to YOUR rescue if they see that something is being wrong to you. Imagine sectarian mullahs crying over the deaths of the Hazara Shias? They wouldn't. Liberals generally cry over the death of just about anyone. ANYONE. And lest you come to wrong conclusions--I am not Shia, not that it should matter.

Pakistan cannot be and should not be a country which muzzles dissent. These articles and tweets are but another shade of the flower garden of Pakistan's discourse. We don't want to be like Iran or Saudi Arabia or even India, for that matter.
