Some argue is USA in British Commonwealth? The whole point of being in British Commonwealth is to take advantage of Western societies.

It's best to have a voice and standing and not be heard at all.
The US is separate from the commonwealth, but has a far greater influence with Pakistan.

Since Pakistan was granted freedom in 1947 , the slate is clean with British Government and People of Pakistan

In Modern times the only rift exist due to Nawaz Sharif , fugitive status. If that did not exist I would assume UK-Pakistan relations would be pretty much "normal to good"

However Common wealth Participation is harmless considering we do have trade relations with UK and general people to people contact

I don't see any long term harm in participating in Sporting Events such as Common Wealth Games

However it would be nice to see Fugitives like Altaf Hussain , Ishaq Dar or Nawaz Sharif returned to Pakistan so they can face Trial or their court sentencing

Yes , I think that part is important , the Relations need to be on common grounds
For trade , commerce and other aspect

British allowed Pakistan to become Pakistan , thru a political movement
as such there is no negative point of view , Kashmir is purely an Indian misadventure.
Some acknowledgement is due for that. Had it been some stuck up like Modi , it would have been terrible blood shed as it happens in Kashmir

Why talk about Modi our own PML is power mongering entity who would suck the blood of own Citizens then given up power , now what has that got to do with UK ? Or Common wealth ?


However the recent escape of various criminals to UK is a bit disappointing , hopefully the British authorities can work with Imran Khan in future to help correct it as it will further grow the UK-Pakistan relations.

There is certainly some potential , which has not been fully tapped due to incompetence on Pakistan's side mostly , I had to fully admit. Pakistan's current sufferings is 100% Pakistan's own creation


Also some effort is needed to change stereo types about Pakistan with UK people , thru News paper , documentaries and better stronger Foreign Office

Common Wealth is just a body which gives special considerations to regions affiliated with UK in past , we are all using English in 2022 now , so it is a interesting concept

A platform for People to people relations , connected by English Language as a unifying idea

A platform to meet other world leaders and discuss trade , economy and other ties

The Sports game is one such gathering which promotes general contact between people of different countries


Common Wealth does not dictates , how you create your own country's constitution
It does not dictates how you choose or vote for your leaders
It does not selects Election commission of Pakistan
It does not opens courts in Mid night
It most certainly does not have concept of Cipher based government toppling
