1. It is really required or not
2. If required ,How can we can develop Missile defence System and what will be cost and time required.
3.AWC or KRL can develop this system or not?

Note: India is working with Israel on Arrow Missile Defence Technology.

I highly doubt that Pakistan is capable to to develop it's indigenous ATBM System. Enough Experience in Radar and Missile Technology are neccessary and not to forget Huge amount of Money. Look at turkish Industry for example, it is working on indigenous low and medium Altitude SAM's, Corvettes, Frigates, MALE UAV, Tand and armoured Combat Vehicle.

Since more than 10 Years our Military need High Altitude SAM's which are capable to engage Aircrafts as well SRBM, but SSM only issued a Tender for direct purchase or License Prduction. The development of an indigenous Turkish ATBM Capable Air Defence System would probably end until the mid of the next Decade.

I see no real Chance for Pakistan.

There are two possible ways. One is through anti-missile missile and another is laser based. If Pakistan wants to deploy anything in near future they should start developing something now. But for that Pakistan should go for a SAM first.

No. USA blocked that technology to India, instead offered to sell PAC-3.

But you are also forgetting things..............Like Accuracy, Range and Speed.......Pakistan already Developed Babur Cruise Missile (with 750 KM pin point accuracy range) and long range Shaheen III more than 2200 KM or range............
So if Pak Military decide to start work on this system they can do so....just matter of some time could be 5 to 10 years. :pakistan::pakistan::pakistan:

to do so we will have to start from scratcch,
will have to develop radars, tracking systes, intelligent Battle management systems, friend n foe indicators and all the relavant stuff.
it wont only require huge amount if $$ for RnD and production but a lot of time as ell.

no second remarks that we should start working on this project but in the mean while we are in serious need of good SAM and chines FT-20/HQ-9 are a perfect option.

india Has successfully tested its ballastic missile defence system....

well DRDO is working on Indeginous AAD and PAD

Here comes India again......, some people just can't learn.:P

Regarding Pakistan's missile defence system. We can participate in missile development programs ,that will be a nice step forward.
Something like this.....

Turkey mulls participation in missile defense system - Hurriyet Daily News and Economic Review

For all indigenous developments the cost will be huge and we can't always be sure how much time it'll take.

we do need to develop a good indegenious SAM system. \but, as True Pakistani have right pointed out, this is going to take quite some time as we will have to develop all of the sophisticated components.
we have no real expertiese in radar systems that is an integral part of any SAm system. the development of all these sister projects will be time consuming and need of hour is to get a good SAM system from some reliable supplier.
the FT-2000 is a perfect option.
i wonder what is stoping military top brass from going all out for procurement of this system.

regards!

You could nonetheless start experimenting. Scientific endeavors are risky by their nature. The unpredictability of projects being successes or failures mean you can either waste a lot of money and time, like India, or develop some fabulous technologies, like India :P

Both Pakistan and India should perhaps focus more on raising the standard of living, education, health care etc in general (rather than on the military). The amounts spent on defense are insane, given the state of the country/ies

Well, that's easier said than done, because both countries want to pressure each other into spending the budget in military (i.e. an arms race)

A missile defence shield is essential for the security of our country.
Pakistan should use the expertise gained from its missiles program and apply towards developing a medium to long range Surface to Air missile system.
Turkey is already developing some sort of a SAM system therefore a joint venture between Pakistan and Turkey would be fruitful.

Provided this sort of an agreement takes place, It would speed up the already on going Turkish project and I reckon it would take 5-7 years at most.
