In lieu of CPEC, ECO can be rejuvenated through new trade opportunities and pertinent frameworks and trade agreements. Pakistan should offer FTAs and include countries of south Asia into its lap minus India if necessary or even India can be included under certain conditions.
Trade will play a decisive factor in the future geopolitics and Pakistan has plenty to offer and benefit mutually with other nations.

Pakistan should actively work out to make ECO active and it will take few phone calls ..President Rouhani and PM NS can both start work on Iran-Pakistan Gas pipeline under the ECO framework and then let Turkmenistan join the iranian gas instead of having Tapi pipeline.... and direct rail link from gwadar to turkey via Iran can b established ..there r many opportunities and we can import cotton from Turkmanistan & Uzbekistan.. etc what i say is there r many good points about ECO and we shud actively work to make it more active... pls dont include india in it it will pollute the whole environment of ECO thats what they have been doing from the day 1 ...

Saarc is dead, we should look for bilateral free trade agreements with Sri Lanka and other friends in saarc who want to have trade relations with Pakistan..

Meanwhile Pakistan should focus on making ECO an effective organization with regular summits, deals, its more then enough for our regional needs..

successor organisation of what was the Regional Cooperation for Development (RCD), founded in 1964, which ended activities in 1979. In 1985 Iran, Pakistan and Turkey joined to form the ECO. By the fall of 1992, the ECO expanded to include seven new members; Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

This is one of the silly ideas that some in Pakistan have. Not only do they think they could form an organisation inviting other countries into a group but don't seem to have a vision for that group. If it is a trading bloc & they want India in, they will still have to give trade concessions which they don't want to. To imagine all these countries joining a bloc merely to serve as another talking shop makes no sense. The point of complaining about Indian dominance & then trying to create an organisation to undercut that while also expecting India to join Pakistan in that effort seems to be an idea that cannot have come from a rational mind.

I don't think India will join the group because it will undermine Saarc. Also India joining any of the grouping will change the dynamics of that grouping because of our sheer size of our market. May be they want our market by limiting our powers.

They are claiming that their is no pressure,and Pakistan is not isolated, on the other hand their own politician, now the Media (Dawn) are now pointing the finger that which EGGS those terrorist are giving to the Pakistan, that they are putting more important than to be isollated Globally.

Only One country denies Surgical Strike and that is Pakistan. If you wanted to claim that it did not happens, then tell me how many country in the World denies Officially that No surgical Strike took place by Indian Army or even Condemn the Action.

The EU has been a success because at the top it has got several nations of a similar economic stature i.e Germany, France, Italy. In SAARC only Pakistan can act as some kind of a balancing act to India, and the latter uses all of its weight and influence to prevent this from happening (as was made evident in the latest postponed SAARC conference). In essence it becomes a one man show, which is why SAARC is bound to fail. ASEAN again has been a success because at its top it has similar sized nations i.e. Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam. It was the balance of power in the Italian city states that allowed the Renaissance to emerge and flourish. Parity ensures stability and security. Unfortunately that is too much to ask from SAARC.

Aptly put.. The only possibility of SAARC to be a viable multilateral organization is to include China in to the fold the only way to counter balance India's stature in it, Let's admit it.. It is the elephant in the room

Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Central Asian Republics + China.

2. Congress Party --- The Chief of the Congress party Sonia Gandhi expresses full support of the BJP let governement for the Surgical Strike.

3. Arvind Kejriwal --- He asked for the Indian Government to release the proof to shut down the mouth of the Pakistani, but he didn't knew, that those pic and vids are never released in the public domain anywhere on the world, since he is not a military Guy.

Now Big point is Why would Pakistani media, take the oxygen from the twisting facts and statements of the political leaders who are not even the military or defence minister nor related to armed forces by any stretch of imagination.

Is it possible to just remove the Pakistan from the SAARC, or it is benificial to start a new corporation organisation, so that the region could work together which was hampered by the the pakistan for so many years. Look, time is changing now, and after the completion of Chabhar, the Afghan would no more be dependent on Pakistan to have the conectivity with the rest of the south asian countries, and why not include myanmar, thialand also.
