Islamabad, Oct 6 (PTI) Congratulating India on the holding of Commonwealth Games, Pakistan today said it was committed to help the host country in safeguarding the security of the event.Interior Minister Rehman Malik told Home Minister P Chidambaram during a telephonic conversation today that any real-time intelligence shared with Pakistan will be "taken seriously and acted upon".Official sources said during the conversation, Malik congratulated Chidambaram on the holding of the Commonwealth Games in India and wished him good luck for the event. I see a lot of members criticising here. Lets not be too fast. I hope this time non-state actors can be stopped and nothing happens. If shared intelligence can prevent a terrorist attack, it will really be a major step forward in the peace process.

I don't count these as empty words. It is as important to Pakistan as it is to India that nothing goes wrong. Neither country can afford a war.
