Actually - their version of sharia is better described as salafi ideology imported from the Salafis in Saudi - a viciously fascist Najdi tribal doctrine masquerading as religion, that seeks to establish a salafi fiefdom in our backyard.

Friends, if we could for a moment shelf the Whole Mehsud issue - they are going to gets what's coming to them - but if we could once again look at the issue of stories or articles citing how Pakistan "influenced, encourage, helped move" the Talib - I would again advise that forum members be cautious of, and concerned, by the appearance of such characterization in the press/media -- Pakistan do not need praise (Praise Whor-re-dom is best rejected), especially when the praise is going to change to the accusation of "duplicity" and "double dealing" as soon as the US or the Afghans run into problems getting their positions to attain traction.

Readers will note the self congratulatory tone of the Talat Husain article and the desperate need for praise and "pat on the back" the Pakistani officials he quotes, celebrate, shameful, certainly.

HOWEVER, notice how the issue of the intel of the Ziarat attack's origins are treated in the article, compare/contrast how both Talat Husain and the officials he quotes treat the issue and that of getting a pat on the back from US types -

Exactly right - the Salafis also tend to label any muslim who doesn't tow their line as apostate and liable for execution - a practice known as takfir.
