Pakistan post computerizing all GPOs
Pakistan Post is upgrading all General Post Office (GPOs) with Counter Automation System (CAS).
Counter Automation System aims at computerizing the Post Office counter, said senior officials of Pakistan Post. They said that it provides state-of-the-art point of sale terminals which can handle all the counter operations and ensures integrated service provision at each counter. They said that the new services introduced by Pakistan Post include ; Electronic Money Order (EMO), Urgent Mail Service Counter Collection (UMS-CC), Urgent Mail Service (City-to-City), Urgent Mail Service (Local), Express Mail Service (EMS) International and Fax Money Order (FMO).
The officials said that Pakistan Post has commissioned Express Mail Track and Trace System and inquiry and Reporting System (EMTTS) in 14 cities.
