Dude if you want to see whole Rawalpindi and Islamabad from one view. Don't forget to go at highest peak of Islamabad Peer Sohawa. Islamabad is peaceful place ,free from Rikshaws, smoke etc. Very peaceful environment.

I read somewhere that Islamabad is very beautiful...hope to visit it one day in my life if relationships normalize between us ..

Judging by some of the pictures and posts on here there are numerous places of beauty - i think its sad that a small percentage of people give the nation a bad name when in fact there are some fantastic places. This is the first time that i will be going to Pakistan and go to see what i want to see and actually discover the real Pakistan - not go and stay with family and get into family talk! Lets hope relations improve too.

go for hiking in the nathia gali/ayubia aerea, i went there in the last week of this ramzaan, when natural beauty was more and people less

i am afraid to say murree has been transformed into a dumpyard now

PC Hotel and surrounding areas of Bhourbun is a great joint to get away from all the hustle and bustle and the heat.

If you are going to Islamabad/Rawalpindi, then moving around shouldn't be an issue. Get a good car, and explore all the way from Lahore, Salt Range to hill stations. Then trekk out to the eight and seven thousanders.
