What's new

Pakistan Navy test fires new Harba cruise missile from PNS Himmat Pakistan

more like a ship based c602 as shown in post 4. id expect the babur being vertically launched via ship.
so then this means either the zarb is a coastal based variant for the c602/harbra or even the c802 or something we have not seen. would be quiet strange if its based of the c602 as i dont see the point in giving it a new name.
Now start believing Pakistan missile capabilities might be painful for some one

Looks very similar to C-602:

You better go to eye specialist for eye test

can it armed with tactical nukes to annihilate other navies
Insha ALLAH

Very good, threatening uncle Don with missiles is a bad idea. Please conduct a nuclear test as well to display pakistans strength. Pakistan is simply digging a more deeper pit. It would be interesting to know Don's view on missile test.

why u worried?? tesht a brahmos (shuper shonic mijjile)

Who is even threatening anyone here? These are regular tests bharati that are scheduled long before that orange faced jerk tweeted crap.

Why you bharatis are so dumb?

Nice! Any stats on the missile?

Pictures? Vidoes? Specifications?

Why such secrecy about this herba missile?

Maybe modified version of c602 ??

How much is the range? Any idea?

can it armed with tactical nukes to annihilate other navies

Any info on Max range of this missile.

I think the new missile appears longer. ??

Real range data: classified!

What is the range of this missile and what is the speed?

Just a simple question.
What is the range of this missile and what is the speed?

Exact range and speed are classified, however one can assume that it has similar characteristics as that of Babur-II (subsonic, <700km range).

It appears to be a AShM-capable Babur Ver. 2

Harbah is a hypersonic cruise missle & that's all we need to know. :dirol:

Agreed. Pakistan should detonate a thermonuclear device at this juncture.

Uhhhh... What? Im assuming that you meant Babur...and no, most definitely it is not a hypersonic cruise missle. Its subsonic.

That being said previously it was reported that Shaheen IIIs range was greater than was reported but the range was curtailed in favor of speed. I wonder if the same could be done here, say dropping the range from 700km of the babur II to say 550km and increase the speed to make it supersonic.

The other huge benefit is that doing an inclined launch will enable a little better range as it is already pointed in the direction its going and is not fighting gravity for initial lift. Its an AShM amd doesnt need as much variability in launch direction to give 360 degrees of attack capability like a SAM would. This will enable any PN vessel capable of housing AShM to be fitter with a dual use missile (AShM capable of Land Attack as well). The larger vessels like F-22P, Type 054A and Milgem may be able to carry 8 rather than. What will be interesting is if a vessel like MRTP-33 can house it (the vessels beam is 6.7m and the missile length of babur is 6.2 so i doubt it).

Pakistan should try to "develop" a local variant of CM-400AKG in order to use the max range of 400km.

Additionally, i would be looking at personalizing the weapons loadout for the MILGEM given the downturn in US Ties which will likely only get worse in the coming months to year. And likely PN can forget about the swift corvettes, likely having to instead opt for more damens or go for chinese options like the type 056 (may a P18 variant) or an enlarged Azmat class ship. Heck, the Swift corvette is on the face basically an enlarged Azmat anyways (13m to be exact). Scale up Azmat and lay it out similar to the Swift ship and exchange the sensors for turkish ones like Smart S mk2 and the weapons for local turkish or chinese ones (Harbah/C802A and FL-3000N instead of harpoon and RAM, with AK630 or Aselsan SMASH instead of 30mm cannons currently installed).

Re: the Swift Corvettes, the PN can also look at the Turkish C-1200.

Sir why not just add 4 Ada class Basic Corvette , and 4 TF-2000 for a heavy Frigate ?
Not all corvettes are the same. Ships with all-welded steel superstructures - e.g. Swift Corvettes - aren't as costly as the MILGEM and Gowind. The MILGEM and Gowind also use composites in their superstructures (to reduce RCS and weight), but this makes them costlier than all-steel ship designs.

  • initial versions of babur were slanted
  • c802 looks different from it
  • is it c602? may be dont know, but looks different if you compare launch videos

LORA is what Indians are gonna get very soon..

Maybe its my ignorance but wouldn't the MTCR prohibit the sale of LORA. While Israel is not a signatory, India is and would be seen violating its responsibility for the acquisition of a missile which technically it has zero need of with K-15 Sagarika which carries more payload further and the Brahmos which also has further range.
