What's new

Pakistan Navy Sailing Club Islamabad

IMHO ... not against the armed forces building facilities open to the public, but it would be nice if we could get a few R&D-type facilities for our students, researchers, etc. Basically, a lab that is meant for armed forces development, but open to civilians.

But where's the fun in that?

old and outdated. Stop the propaganda against Service. Grow up.

This is a great effort by PN. The establishment looks great. Bravo Zulu.

Yes, it's quite nice to see the bravehearts open a club from the nation's tax money in this time of a global pandemic and while the nation suffers and dies.

Truly a great effort.

Nations tax money?
this is from PN welfare trust. basically the deductions of officers monthly pay contribute to this project.
If this is your argument then Pakistan Navy ,Army and Airforce should also downgrade Bahria university,NUST and Air university respectively. not just that the forces should also stop doing charity work from this fund because its tax money..
This is a sailing school it contributes to our national sports,Navy has produced big names in sailing..If PN is using it to raise funds for a bigger setup it shouldn't be termed ayaashi.

Sir its not just about liberal mindset anymore.

believe me many of my molvi friends bring up such mindset.

I tried to understand and it boils down to this.
"jealousy and envy"
These people would be happy the day our forces are too p!ss poor to improve lifestyles for their families.
why? because they themselves never got the same opportunities and facilities from their respective governments..
sorry but it eventually goes to a civilian vs foji mindset ..
they think forces are their lords and they are mahkoom.
they fail to acknowledge the discipline in these organizations that brings strength to them and would never acknowledge it. they would always think only their tax money was the source of all the might

That's what they all say.
People in service pay tax too, how surprising. So do civilians. Civilians get nothing though, and the defense forces get everything they're not supposed to, from clubs to askari airlines, and even pre planted jobs in SUPARCO, PIA, and tens of other major Government companies.
Yes, that tax money they pay must really hurt.

It is very old club, they just renovated with new looks... BTW looks awesome

your problem is your lack of understanding of the statecraft.
civilians are ruled by their elected (corrupt) leaders.
forces are subject of state.their commander in chief is the president.

the distribution of wealth and levels of corruption are not the same in two.

Our soldiers are getting picked off like sitting ducks due to lack of protective equipment............

1. Army is servant to the Civilian Government, but not in this rogue state, here it's the other way around.

2. Army is given a budget to buy defence weapons, send high merit soldiers abroad for diverse trainings, and to invest in military R&D. But instead we have the Army announcing Askari Airlines, the Navy building a fancy club house, the Air Marshal making a big *** mansion which even illegal went onto another public property. The only cars the elites in this institution drive are expensive bullet proof jeeps and jet black mercedes escorted by 2 vans of rangers. Quite brave.
