Israelis can carry on with dolphin because arab countries have nothing to offer against it. Pakistan faces threat of kilo and scorpion.

You would be astonished those israeli dolphin class submarines are much more capable and modernized then A90Bs and israel spent more on those submarines.

That is 6 Type 21 ex-RN Amazon Class Frigates re-designated as Destroyers in the PN. The sister-ship Niteroi Class in the Brazilian Navy are still classed as Frigates.

It may have GENESIS combat management system, but no weapons besides a bunch of torpedoes and guns.

PN calls them destroyers (as per their nomenclature).

But they are frigates as per British Navy nomenclature (who uses warships of FAAAR higher tonnage
and classifies THEM as DDGs.) They are not destroyers even as per Indian Navy nomenclature.

I prefer to call them Frigates (FFGs), along the lines of their original British classification.

well unless PN decides to stick some weapons in there, Yeah it's pretty much not a very combat ready ship.
Although, it will probably do Sub-hunting near the coastal waters

Type 21s are frigates and not destroyers... maybe by Iranian standards but almost everyone else counts a 3,300 ton ship a frigate.

well, since she's not equipped with much armaments, she wouldn't be able to sail in oceans.
And by coastal i mean a few hundred miles off the coast.

Subs usually like to get much closer to the ports and dockyards for reconnaissance and other purposes.

numbers i guess. And they MIGHT add some weapons later on like the Turkish Navy.

Maybe act as command vehicle for co ordinating fleet action?Otherwise agree its waste.
PN need 2 air defence destroyers[real destroyers,not 3300 ton light frigates termed destroyers] from china with fleet defence capability,then situation will be more stable.Right now PN surface fleet is near defenceless to attack from supersonic cruise missiles.
