Pakistan National Anthem (Rerecorded) |14th August 2022

.
Happy Independence Day. A Big one this year! I was going to share the new national anthem--which I just saw-- but you beat me to it! I am also sharing the You Tube version of the new anthem below. Honestly, I thought the Coke Studio's version of the national anthem from a few years ago couldn't be bettered but this one is probably even better.

When your best achievement is re-doing something which was already done. :disagree:

I'm not negative, but I question "PM Shahbaz Sharif's F*ING achievement" in the history of this country and the zeal with which he announces this act feeling proud, as if he's the new founding father of this Nation.

When desire to be a hero is bigger than the cause, this is what you end up doing.

Also watch how stupid PAF chief looks in PAF's promotional video. Let him read this post, tell him people see soldiers, fighter jets and a lunatic in that video and let PAF chief guess who's the lunatic.

No, you are indeed 'negative'. This is a big day for Pakistan and negativism can wait. To tell you the truth, the events after April 3, 2022 in Pakistan has me dejected and looking deeper into the Pakistani politics after decades. But I am not going to ruin a big day like this.
Celebrate the big day today. Pakistan is not all mess anyway. There are course corrections throughout Pakistan's history and I can already see the 'State' making sure in a collective way the latest course correction.

Thanks sir, some days you want to speak truth because you are told it's the day of freedom. But should we be allowed to speak our truth when we're told we're free? Or does 14th Aug symbolise freedom of territory only and not the freedom of its people yet? Just a question.

I apologise for sounding negative. I do not mean disrespect. May be my unsatisfied patriotism is coming out negative knowing our freedom is a fabricated facade. Sorry for speaking my truth again.

No worries. I do share you pain. Before the dramas starting April this year, I was fairly happy and was watching videos like Ali Zafar's 'Hum Taba Abad' set around the OIC Conference in Islamabad around 23 March. But then I saw something so disturbingly different. That's for another day.

I will add to what I was vaguely saying above. Nations go through ups and downs. And Pakistan is no exception. I am a paid subscriber to the NY Times which allows me to go through news archives to as early as 1851!! United States became a nation in 1776. But already, by 1850, there were open talks of secession and indeed by 1860, a Civil War broke out, resulting in about 10% Americans killed! Imagine that--for a country with only two land borders, great natural resources, and a country which gained independence by beating the then Super Power.
Also look at countries like Sri Lanka or Lebanon now? Two countries with better educated people, and fairly well endowed with natural resources. I am not talking about Afghanistan or Somalia here to compare. Pakistan is not 'the sick man of Asia' as Dawn.com recently said.

You cannot compare Pakistan to America.

I refuse to celebrate “independence” day from now on.

Fool the awaam with media, propaganda, make fancy songs and videos, jazbaa this jazba that, and other BS.

Where as if you ask about technological advancement, economy, women security, standard of living then it is a big zero.

All advancements and development happening on propaganda.
