Besides Pakistan has other concerns for opening trade with India. That is more to do with Terrorism than with Economic Prosperity.

I feel bad for Gani though, he seems very concerned about his own people, but is literally at the mercy of Pakistan, India and Iran.

Sure we want direct link with Afghanistan but we can manage it through Chabar port also. so no need to give too much importance to people who are against development of region.

All three did, Musharraf ruled for 8 years and offered friendship in the early time of his rule, the fact that India could not form a good friendship in all those years, is a undeniable proof of India's incompetency/unwillingness to maintain peace with Pakistan. And India's recent behavior with NS and Zardari also solidify this claim.

As far as Kashmir is concerned, lets see what happens next.

I certainly hope so. Whoever got us into SAARC needs shooting. We already had a 'ready made' SAARC in 1947 called British India and millions died when we broke free.
