QTV is available to watch in India. QTV is a sub-channel of ARY television. It's in high demand for Indian Muslims. Why? Because of the content.

Now tell me, why would any other channel be in demand in India? Besides GEO.

How do you not know if they are banned? I want to know from indian members if Pakistani channels are allowed to be shown in india?

Point taken. I agree that India should allow Pak films as well. Actually I dint know Pak films were banned. Almost everybody I know in India has seen Khuda ke Liye but then again it could be via downloads.

But I do think that news channels should be banned. Simply because too much propaganda on from both sides. Arnab Goswami and Times Now are a pain with their rhetoric and so are all the Hindi news channels. I guess its the same for Hamid Mir and his channel.

Some people have told me that no Pakistani channels are shown in india and some of the members have mentioned that they are. Thats why I want to know from indian member if they REALLY are banned. If they aren't then there should be no problem with indian stuff like movies being shown in Pakistan but if they are then thats wrong.

I do think they are banned in India. But Indian members (who live in India) can probably confirm that.

Banning bollywood movies may not help at all. I remember that bollywood was banned for sometime during Zia's rule and also sometime back. But I dont think its popularity decreased at all. The reason is cassettes and CDs. In today's world you just cant eliminate it by banning it from Pak cinemas. People have access to CDs and online downloads. They will find a way. Where there's a demand there's a supply.

And due to this Pakistan 's theaters got closed down and then again there are not good theaters for people to see movies and they rather prefer to see its pirated version and ultimately the cycle repeats itself

Thank you. Like I said if they weren't banned then I wouldn't have a problem with indian stuff being shown in Pakistan because except news channels every other indian channel is shown in Pakistan.

I have seen ARY. but no other pakistani channel

yes I have , i used to watch Ptv until a few yrs back, but it been some time now..since Indian private Tv channels caught on there has been cut throat competition.. these days you can hardly get a glimpse of Doodarshan (India's national TV channel).
