The very fact that there are ZERO VT-4s in service with the Chinese army tells you that this tank is a cheap copy of some Russian tank, and that the performance of this tank is unsatisfactory. This is where the Americans are different. You are coming off real cheap.

You have to do better than this to a strategic partner.

America provides aid to Pakistan to fight it's War on Terror. Pakistan used to be America's agent of chaos against USSR. This in the long run does much more damage to Pakistan than the money they recieve from the US.

China doesn't push Pakistan in that direction or use it to fight it's wars but rather prefers a more stable region through development.

With all the costs accounted for I think the US is the cheap one. It externalized much of the costs of its geopolitical ventures upon others while give tokens as compensation. The US and China has different goals with different price tags. To focus on some aid money is tunnel vision.

Recent obsession with aid money due the incident with America threatening to cut aid is unhealthy. Of course this shows the effectiveness of aid money as a political tool.

Another useless comment. The VT-4 indeed has something extraordinary. The engine layout and transmission are ahead. No matter how much you upgrade of your T-72 or T-84, it still cannot be compare.
