Pakistan major source of fake currency in India: Government

New Delhi: Maximum consignments of high quality fake Indian currency notes are being supplied in the country from Pakistan, the Parliament was informed on Thursday.

"As per available inputs from central intelligence and investigation agencies, consignments of high quality Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) have been directly or indirectly sourced from Pakistan," Minister of State for Finance Namo Narain Meena said in a written reply to Rajya Sabha.

In response to another question about whether India has sought the help of the United States of America to tackle the menace of fake currency notes, he replied in the affirmative.

"Under the Indo-US Homeland security dialogue, counterfeit currency is one of the aspects for cooperation, covering exchange of knowledge, skill and intelligence," he said.

And one of better solution will be to outsource currency printing business to pakistan that will save lot of headache of fakes.

Even better solution would be to start a printing business of our own for Pakistani currency. That way the jobs stay in the country, and we get rich at their expense, like all fake currency makers do.

Congress and BJP (Delhi) politicians does better. They outsource Fund transfer to dawood based in Karachi, pakistan. He then transfers their money to Swiss bank accounts.

dawood of course collects fake currency and uses his network in India to spread them resulting in inflation all under the able watch of "honest" maun mohan singh.

That will be a business of loss coz of keeping in mind about it value of PKR in market it you got to spend more to print 1PKR

Let the Pakistanis do what they like what the GoI has to do is improve the detection methods and carry out more checks of currency all over India to route out the fakes. All banks must be mandated to check a their currency coming in and out as should all government institutions that handle cash and more detractor kits should be given to small and medium size businesses to check currency as they please. AFAIK the security built into official Indian currency notes is pretty solid ie security strips and special ink so with the right equipment and training it should be easy to get more of this fake currency out of circulation.
