Pakistan lost $50 million from airspace restrictions: minister

u see pakistan loss was mainly due to loss overflight charges , while india loss was mainly due extra fuel burnt . India didn't loss much in overflight charges
The bottom line is losses. Given Indian's significantly large air traffic to the West throw in the 20/30% extra cost and you will end up with huge figures. And whilst $50 million is nothing to be scoffed at but relative to Pakistan's economic problems it is pennies. The country could have sustained that for years. Only thing is there was no excuse left. Indeed three months ago the excuse was worn out but it was kept to screw every drop out of this. Now there would have been huge pressure from West and PMIK is off to USA. It was begining to look petty and it had to be opened up. And it has.

loose change first?
