This is an excerpt from a WaPO article that also talks about how militants have dispersed after successful ops in Swat and SW, as well as how finding targets for drone attacks is becoming increasingly harder as the Taliban and AQ take additional measures.

I posted the part related to militant dispersion in another thread.

The comments about Pakistani intel losses in FATA are corroborated by other similar reposrts in the press.

The ISI and other Pakistani intel agencies deserve Pakistan's, and the World's, highest respect and praise for the sacrifices they have rendered.
... The Pakistani intelligence official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the Taliban and al-Qaeda have ruthlessly purged anyone in their organizations accused of being a spy. The markets in Peshawar, capital of the North-West Frontier Province, are full of DVD recordings of beheadings of suspected informants.

Just in North Waziristan, the official said, Pakistani intelligence agencies have lost 30 undercover operatives this year.

As a result of the killings, he said, "quite a few areas have literally become black holes for us."

Although the Pakistani government officially opposes the drone campaign, it cooperates behind the scenes, sharing intelligence with the CIA. ...

PS: Enough of the whining, crying and scapegoating of the ISI by the West.

Quit dumping your failures on us. Afghanistan is a clusterfck right now because US, NATO and GoA efforts have been abysmal, not because of Pakistan.

Learn to act like mature adults and accept your failures already. We have, and continue to, sacrifice our best for the goal of defeating terrorism.

Your blood has it's fruits and you are among us all the time because martyrs doesn't die.

All Nation is proud of your sacrifice.

Yeah with any successful drone strike the chances of losing the assets reaches near 100% as they have very tightly nit groups and identifying the mole becomes easy as few know the location of target suspects. Salute to these men who have been laying their lives with no recognition nor may be they will ever be known who they were.

It's clearly evidence that there is no collusion with the Haqqani Network for Taliban's benefit. If there was, Pakistani officers would be welcomed and not beheaded by the Haqqani network.

Pakistan has given the precise explanation for not going after the Haqqani network, which is that it wants targets bombing Pakistan to be eliminated first. Now either America can get on board with it and help out or keep propagating a downright silly lie in its hunt for sorry excuses for its failures in Afghanistan.

Not only we should be first eliminating TTP and affiliated groups as they threaten us more then the Afghan Taliban, plus what strategy PA has now adopted of attack, hold, clear and reconstruct with winning hearts & minds if is adopted in other non problematic areas, it will need atleast a 100K more troops (which we can't spare) and billions of dollars more to sustain such a large level operations, air assets and all hell of other things. Even if we attack them, they will go back into Afghanistan without giving any fight and as we all know NATO has such low level presence, these taliban will be enjoying their time over there too just like they are doing here.

I think the most courageous and brave then anyone else, having known about their fate  if their cover blows or if they are even suspected of being spies.

Hats off for all those who have contributed against the brutalities of these monsters(TTP).
