Pakistan lifts sanctions on Iran

I used to respect Iran, I still support their principal stand on Palestine.

But what they have done in Syria is intolerable, to force a brutal alewites dictator upon the majority non alewite Muslim Syrians for non but sectarian reasonso is criminal.

Pakistan has woken up we still have a lot of work ahead of us, but we will grow into a powerful state, the signs are all their.

We should keep away from hypocrites like the Iraniansound, if they can do what they are doing in Syria then they are a threat to us too

We have nothing to do with Palestine and enough of this stupid guilt by association..Palestine is more of an Arab problem than Iranian or Pakistan..further look up and see what they are doing with their own people...Iran under ayatollahs is the worst country in the world! period..!

I guess this was with the whole lifting of UN sanctions. Anyway, there shouldn't been sanctions in the first place. I hope our relationship becomes stronger with our Iranian cousins.
As for all the previous fighting, just remember this;

The only country where Iran's favorability rating scores above 50 percent is Pakistan, with 76 percent giving the rogue state a positive review.

I think most of us have some respect for our armed forces. One of the most crucial job of GHQ Rawalpindi directly under General Raheel Sharif is to carry out threat analysis. This involves at looking at prsent and threats over the horizon across all spectrum including all the surrounding countries.

Then based on those threat perceptions Pakistan Military deploys it's forces configured according to the threat. Now have good look at the map below showing deployments and from their conclude where maximum threat and minimum threats exists as seen by our military planners.

And why not then configure your angst according to the threat perception of our military? This is after all PDF?

Ps. My eyesight is going down these days. I guess age is biting me but is it just me that notices South West of Pakistan or the region adjacent to Iran has the least military deployed? What does that tell you about Pak/Iran relationship?

pure BS. and bad reporting. we were held back by USA and KSA from going ahead with the gas deal and this government didn't expect to get any commissions or kickbacks from Iranian supply so it rushed to Qatar and practically held Pakistan hostage for 15 years.

the sanction is self imposed one. what is meant is that Pakistan wont need to seek approval or expect any wrath for trading with Iran

False...US clearly said dealing with the IP pipe line would bring Pakistan under sanctions too..Pakistan also could not find anyone willing to finance the pipeline..the Qatari gas is cheaper than IP..KSA does not care we getting some Gas from Iran...even the Qatar deal is going to serve only 20% of our needs...KSA does not have gas..it cannot offer anything else..beside liquid fuels..

The sanctioned were imposed by UN and we are obliged to follow them unless we want our institutions to be cut off from the global system..

But Iran's interest for gwadar is against their own interest to develop chabhahar port.China's main population lyes on eastern part and not west.Why should iran have to depend on pakistan for CPEC, when they can do themselves if needed after post sanction?

Unless they get a smooth highway surrounded by billions of dollars worth of infrastructure and facilities and it connects directly to China - then I dont think Chabhahar port is any threat to Gwadar also - I was talking about route to China.
