Kaveri achieved a thrust of 81kN against required 95kN.

Kaveri was dropped. too much money on somthing not stable. Even top engineers said that it was a mistake, doing indegenious when industries in India wasn't ready. Kaveri as maybe a future since France want to revive it with 1Bil$ investment and Engineering help... for those 36 rafales....

Well don't want to be mean my indian guys, but 33 years to develop an aircraft that is indeginous only WITH the airframe ( for only 60%) it's not very indegenious. Even the Iranians with sanction were able to make an engine ( good or not, they done it). So anyway good luck...

33 years is the start of the DRDO defence R&D wing to produce some sort of LCA. It's like saying AMCA started in 09, when it's not even officially sanctioned to be produced yet. Design, etc. is frozen for AMCA and proposal is given to the government, but it's still just a paper bird/project right now until full funding starts for TD development. No different to LCA before full funding in the 90s. An engine was also made, but not producing enough thrust.

Pakistan is worried (ahem.. rofl) about a jet that took 32 years to gestate and appear it a republic day display for basic maneuvers while not operationally capable and not even present in any significant numbers that could even suggest a flight school.

PAKISTAN is worried(lmao lmao) about a jet which has been rejected by the two main services that were the primary customer for it as it does not meet their generally vague and unrealistic goal posts.
A jet that is unacceptable to these primary customers in its present form which still isn't upto original specifications let alone those planned as "upgrades"(read fixes) to the design
