'Pakistan is not the ideal ally' - GCC

My indian brother, I unfortunately have to agree with your assessment. Yes , the indian work force is relatively more skilled than Pakistan's. In hospitals majority of doctors are either indians or arabs, very few pakistanis, nurses 60-70 percent keralites and rest phillipinos, in labour class we might be equal but in decent jobs, hr, managerial positions indians are dominating.thus exponentially more remittances.

But also in uae alone indians are 2.6 million vs 1.1 million Pakistanis. so you cannot say that 4 times more average income, keeping in mind that your labour force is more as compared to that of Pakistan's. it might be around 1.5 to 2 times but not 4 times.
I simply used division to get the numbers.
Regardless of this though, arguing on an online forum is pointless as it does not change anyone's reality(for better or worse) out in the real world.

The issue was that a post by a member stated that Arabs should increase Pakistani remittances to match India's before asking for military support from Pakistan.

My point was that its about economics and skill sets...not a gift to be bestowed by Arabs on Pakistanis to make them "equal equal" to Indians that Pakistanis are so insistent on.

Instead maybe Pakistan should negotiate a formal investment treaty with the Arabs in return for military support - that would be far more beneficial than this moaning going in this thread. An investment treaty with time bound project completion deadlines in focused on priority sectors as decided by Pakistani Govt.

What is it that you ask?
An Indian in GCC on average earns 4 times the average income of a Pakistani. That's based on skill sets and qualifications.

This is based on market supply and demand and skill sets.

What do you want, Arabs to gift Pakistanis higher skilled jobs in addition to the billions they give to Pakistan from time to time?

Horseshit

If the GCC is adamant it wants Pakistan to stand by its side, then Pakistan is willing

But a strategic alliance must include actions against our enemy india, both by strengthening the Pakistani state and military and actions against india in peacetime and war

If arabs want us with their side then they must do some concrete steps for us as well and lets make a long lasting alliance

> Pay our debts.. if you can buy weapons worth 60 billion in one year (ksa 2013) and still need help, wont it be better to just pay 75 bn Pakistan's debt and have our army permanently stationed there on arab funding ofcourse.

> Station a few squadrons of typhoons , f-16 block60 etc in sargodha and jacobabad, afterall friendship must be a two way street shouldn't it?

> Stop funding BLA and madarssahs

> treat pakistanis with the same respect meted out to westerners.... afterall we are your sunni brothers aren't we... we should atleast have better respect than say the infidel

> the alliance must not be used against any muslim country especially Pakistan's neighbors :P

> the allaince must have a road map to free Jerusalem

they discover petrol in 1951 so dont get too excited. no they never came to work in Karachi yes for education alot of them people in their senior positions even them.. and reason they some of their elders speak urdu is not cuz they come to work in karachi there are alot of factors .. 1st i would say iranian who easily can learn and speak urdu second Pakistani society were close to both of them and it was easy to use urdu even before 48 they were using British indian currency so its another link. I gave you first hand information of what was said to me by a single member of the arab community who we do business with. No history lesson from my end. Disagreeing with my personal opinion is your right. But just go read up on the rise of Dubai before sprouting your personal opinion. They were not driving around in Silver Audis right after 1951.

First of all look at your name "handle".... sheikh........ whipped much? :cheesy:

The UAE has always become a safe refuge to all Pakistani politicians and businessmen in times of political unrest that usually hit Pakistan.

Not only did the Pakistani parliament not appraise and appreciate the GCC, the government, too, tried in different ways to avoid participation, and that trend became clear when it referred the matter to the parliament.

Even the public opinion and “noisy” reactions of writers and different categories of people as regards ‘Decisive Storm’ and the Gulf position was in the same direction.

You still haven't understood your mistakes? You still haven't understood that you haven been investing on wrong people, Had the you invested to win hearts of common people rather corrupt politicians and businessmen, had you invested in education and development to make any difference in lives of common people instead using religion card to gather support of common man and funding mullahs, madrassahs and jihad, had you gave respect to common Pakistani instead of giving royal treatments to corrupt politicians and criminals on run, Had UAE taken Gawadar as opportunity and invested in it, and helped Pakistan with their experience in Dubai instead of taking it as threat and supporting insurgents to sabotage the plans than Public opinion as well as Parliaments decisions would have been different.

And yes - you shouldn't relay on Pakistan anymore if you want to stick to same policies, ground realities are changed now, in presence of dozens of news channels and social media you can't fool people anymore, and the politicians on whom you have been investing will not be able to withstand public pressure and serve you as they have been doing in past.

More you talk arrogantly, more your "brotherhood" will be exposed, and will open the eyes of Pakistani who are living in some delusion.

@Anees is arbeez? :D
