Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said it is imperative that the leadership in Pakistan and India should rise to the expectations of their people and the two nations need to start a “new chapter” in ties by working towards resolving all outstanding issues through dialogue.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad, Sharif expressed confidence that Tuesday’s talks between the Foreign Secretaries of the two countries will result in charting the way forward in bilateral relations.
“Both the countries need to start a new chapter in their relationship by working towards resolving all outstanding issues through dialogue,” he said.
“We must think together, act together and move forward with the spirit of bringing the two nations closer to each other. The two countries should lend a hand of cooperation to each other to improve the standard of living of 1.5 billion people,” Sharif said.
Jaishankar’s parleys today appeared to have provided the two sides to move ahead on the road towards resumption of their dialogue which was interrupted seven months ago when India called-off foreign secretary-level talks at the eleventh hour because the Pakistan High Commissioner in New Delhi held consultations with Kashmiri separatists.
My take : It is true, we talk about firing at Border. To be true the Indian Media shows the Pakistan is Firing and the Pakistani Media shows India is firing. In India they say Pakistan is sending terrorist which seems to be true in a case, in Pakistan they say India is sending terrorists which hasn't been proven yest (No offense but truth) Both countries just play blame games, but Indian Leaders seems to be working on it rather just blaming but Pakistani leaders just seem to be sitting back and enjoying and there army and people suffer.
Second, war in not a chance, Pakistan cannot survive a war nor its is ready, India cannot afford to be at war while its economy is rising. Still, both countries talk about war like its age of empires. But, to be true Pakistan needs to understand they cannot survive war with India and thats the bitter truth. Instead of just playing blame game they should start constructive approach towards there citizens. Plus they need to stop trying to be like Arab nations, they need to be themselves have there own policies. Which is good for the country eliminate all the terrorist organisations.
Pakistani leaders need to do something or I think they are just sitting ducks are the people should next time form a constructive panel and appoint someone else.
Plus media needs to stop thinking about TRP and stop showing governmental agendas and show the truth rather than taking people away from it.
