India is decreasing business with Iran:

China and Russia have supported Iranian sanctions, and will tow the US line this time too:

https://www.theatlantic.com/interna...sia-and-china-joined-on-iran-sanctions/56905/

Anything else?

Per sanctions, these countries should be not doing any business with Iran.

Do you know what percentage of Indian and Chinese oil continues to come from Iran.

Why don't you check and tell us?

It's not that countries have to stop doing business with Iran. There are economic needs of the nations, and the populations of these nations that dictate it. For example, India has received exemption from US sanctions on Iran's oil imports. But the trend is that Indian business has been dropping with Iran, which is why Iran has been getting desperate and looking at alternative options.

China has economic needs, and can defy the US. However, Iran is not part of China's grand plans for the region, neither has China ever stood up for Iran in the international arena.

Please understand the concept of perception management in the world of real politik and balancing warring factions.

Unlike Pakistan, we do not play zero sum games.

Where did India come into this? We are talking about Iran here, and its relationship with the world. You tow the US line, and adjust according to it as well.

Souring US-Iran ties may spell trouble for Chabahar port

Next time I visit UAE I will give you my address and Let's see who is the coward in person.

You are the most intelligent person I have met on PDF. You are going to reply to my accusation of intellectual cowardice by physically beating me up. This is a very novel approach to me, but given the thanks you have received, probably common in your country.

@WAJsal @waz @Slav Defence could you give the think tank a positive rating for introducing novel ways of debating to PDF pls? Its not everyday that title holders contribute with radically novel ideas.

When I visited UK about an year back, I met a number of folks who claimed to be Indian 'expats' but didn't know about Rajnikanth or Dev Anand. Little bit of probing always came out with Pakistani or Bangladeshi identity.

Biggest BS I have ever heard in my entire life. I have lived my entire existence in Canada and never once I met a Pakistani who claimed to be Indian.

You haven't travelled as much then.

Many Bangladeshi and Pakistani call themselves 'Indians' to get rented accomodation, jobs etc in UK. Reverse never happens.

Interestingly, Indian community in America is often compared with Jewish community as an education conscious and high earning community. While Pakistani community is often thought to be doing DDD type of work and related to crime or terrorism. It shows in their financial standing as well.

Every one knows Indians smell like curry, and have zero hygiene. As a matter of fact, half of Indians can not even poo in the loo.

Unlike India, there will be no racial soft gloves if Iran wages war on Pakistan.

Pakistan should realise that in spite of them starting all wars with India, except maybe for Kargil which was brutal (post Bangladesh, post Zia), all India Pakistan wars have actually been as gentle as wars can be.

I do not think the Iranians would be anywhere close to as brotherly as the Indians have been.

And Pakistan will really learn the meaning of war.

They are deluded about this guerilla war they have been fighting against the Taliban and thinking they've come of age as a military power.

Hope they never have to learn the reality the Persian way ....

True that. But it would be interesting nonetheless because at least on paper they are well matched.

IMO the Iranians are severely constrained by the fact that they are so engaged in Syria/Iraq that they wouldn't want a fight. Without that on their hands it would be a different matter altogether.

And the fact is, that despite all claims of "eternal enemy" India on its Eastern flank, Pakistan knows that they actually don't have to be concerned as India won't do anything to exploit the situation. Makes their hostility all the more inexplicable.

its laughable, there is zero trust between Pakistan and bharat.

Despite the zero trust, can you outline even ONE scenario where India would exploit the situation (militarily) if Pakistan and Iran came to blows?
