Pakistan Grapples with the Middle Eastern Fault-Lines as Gen. Raheel Takes Command of the Saudi-Led

Sending raheel sharef that too in his personal capacity is a trrop?

Then I wonder what Indian will do in battlefield when they actually see troops

Good to see that one retired man by Indian is considered as troop.

"More recently, on the eve of General Sharif’s appointment, Pakistan agreed to send 10,000 combat troops to the Saudi side of the kingdom’s border with Yemen"!!!!!!

@MastanKhan Sir your thoughts

Hi,

Thank you for the nudge----. It pains me to see this---.

Atypical pakistani general grabbing defeat from the laurels of victory---. Gen Raheel and all the pakistani generals had every opportunity to to make Pakistan a great regional power striving hard for peace by taking the lead against the terrs.

But the problem over here is pakistani generals are no visionaries in general---and that comes from the defensive mindset.

The focus should have been on what do we get in return for our participation 1 1/2 years ago and not what Iran was saying or anyone else---.

Who can trust Iran---no one can---then why would they fall for Iran's promises---the nation on the verge of sanctions.

At this stage---I do not understand what he wants to achieve---.-unless there is deployment of pak troops.

Again, if you remember I too opposed you back in 2015. But you're right. Gulf has always been our sphere of influence. And we cannot remain oblivious to its development. Anything happens to that will affect us terribly. Right now we should play our cards and try to recover the lost ground during PPP era.

From your rear? Show me authentic source claiming that.
And say even if we did, we have always maintained that Saudis territorial integrity will be protected at any cost. Period !

Hi,

The truth is that the terrorists have succeeded in dividing pakistan and GCC---. There has been a rift created---that is not going to disappear for a longtime.

And how have they succeeded---they spread out rumors---that if pak military went in GCC / Yemen---the terrs will head towards pakistan---. Thias was to put fear in the hearts of pakistanis---.

But the truth was---the fear was in their hearts---because they knew what the pak military was capable of---secondly---they were afraid of the high tech weapons coming into the resource of Pak military---they were also afraid of more weapons and more troops of the pak military---.

So---basically they found a platform to sabotage the growth---strength and power of pak military---thru news anchors---defense specialists---retd generals---politicians.

There was not a single person that stood up strong and could have the courage to speak up for this alliance with tactical and military reasoning behind it---.

The terrorists succeeded---Iran succeeded---India succeeded---and we failed---because our generals failed us---.

To take the shia element in pakistan into confidence---the military would started a pro-active campaign against anti shia element---and like Ishaque and co from Muszafargarh---they would be wiped out---nicely and quietly without making any claim in a real systematic manner---at such a scale---that our brethren shia community in pakistan be surprised at what was happening.

It just breaks my heart to see the level of incompetence and ignorance---.

As one of our wonderful new colleagues on this board had written a short time ago---" what is our national product---our national product is manpower and military resource---that soldiers "---that is what we have and that is what we export---.

We send them to UN missions in thousands to protect the weak nations and bring them stability---and those soldiers had made our nation p[roud---someone go ask the women girls and children of those nation---how they glorify the name of pakistan---.

The Yemen mission would have been to bring peace utility compromise stability to the region---in a systematic and decisive manner by keeping focus on both the parties---.

Right now---there is no match maker in between---. Pakistan military would have been the best match maker for both the sides---.

After that failure---now we have the failure coming up at Gwadar / CPEC---. Because of a loser's mentality---we never comprehended the true reaction of the neighbors and the U S---.

Please tell me realistically---if I called many a pakistanis not having the vision or capabilities ( I am trying to use pleasant terms ) to understand and analyze the coming changing events at all---if I took it further and stated that they do not have the ability to comprehend it even---I would not be off the target---.

It just simply tears me to pieces---it really breaks my heart to see the failure.

Sir...what do you suggest now? Atleast Gen Raheel Sharif going to lead IMAFT is a step in the right direction... There are reports tht Pak is sending troops for defensive role on Saudi Yemen border... How much positive effect..can it have?

Hi,

The purpose of a campaign on a foreign land is to know what substantial material gains are you going to get out of them when you send your troops to protect the interest of other nations---.

I don't understand WTF is Gen Raheel going to do there---.

1 1/2 years ago---we could have started to build a fighting force of around 150000---200000 men---with 10-15 armor divisions---a division of light to medium rapid response force---8-10 sqdrns of fighter and strike aircraft---a flotilla of naval ships and subs and cargo aircraft---a complete battle group---.

This would also have resulted in a massive job creation resource---welfare and education project as well as industrial projects in pakistan---.

So---my question is---what is he going to gain now---.

Looks like General Raheel is really embarrassed about his failure to understand---and trying to make amends---. Gen Raheel Sharif fckd up as bad as only a pakistani general could.

If Iran is truly committed to muslim unity it will never seek a relationship with India which is an oppressor in Kashmir. Iran stands for palestine and wants muslim nations to work together.

@Rukarl is probably Zoroastrian. They hate Muslims (including Shias).

PMLn framed Gen Raheel to close all his door to enter in Pak politics after 2 years. Gen fall in PMLn trap. Now Nawaz successfully made him controversial and kept away from Pak for another 2 years. Smart PMLn..... Remember all source of information is Khawaj Asif, non any official media , ISPR or foreign office yet.

This would have actually brought great insight into 39 Muslim countries armies into Pakistan. Pakistan needs alot of knowledge and info, hope Raheel is doing that.
