What's new

Pakistan fails to implement NAP.

This should have been done by our Govt and Judiciary, but instead is being done by GHQ.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif confirmed the death sentences of nine hardcore terrorists convicted by military courts, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said on Friday.

The statement issued by ISPR said, “The hardcore terrorists were involved in committing heinous offences relating to terrorism, including attack on Parade Lane Mosque, Inter Services Intelligence Headquarters, Multan, attacks on Law Enforcement Agencies, kidnapping and killing civilians in Lahore. These convicts were tried by military courts.”
Someone has to do when our PM and so called chief justice failed to do. many terrorist set free just to save their a...... by the judges they fear if they hang they will be taken out in a suicide attacks.

Then what is stopping the Generals from taking the lead in doing what needs to be done?
They don't need to take extreme step military already busy in cleaning the mess, just a gentle pressure required and I believe Gen Raheel will defiantly exercise his powers.

Time to single out the enemy and then treat them like an enemy.
It doesn't mean war, but at least restrict their influence through media.

Isn't It the job of intelligence agencies to protect Pakistan from internal and external enemies. What's stopping the agencies from neutralizing the threat. Politicians, judges or media personal found to be standing in the way should be neutralized. When I say neutralized, I mean exposed to the public and let them explain their behaviour to the public.

Or at least Publically shame them by announcing their name with proofs so that they lose their credibility and Job because no media house want negative publicity.

I am not talking about any extremes steps. If one goes down the list of items listed in the NAP, there is much that the military can do on its own. Why not concentrate there?

Intel agencies are not executing agencies. They gather and provide intel to the govt by remaining invisible.
Action is to be taken by the govt through police, Para military elements.

For example: 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 16, 17 and 18.

To oversee the implementation of the 20 points of NAP, the government initially constituted 15 different subcommittees. These committees comprised ministers, senior government officials, and top army officials.

Eleven (11) of these committees were to be headed by the federal minister of interior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. This makes him head of almost 73% of the committees, including the ones on preventing emergence of militias, on curbing hate speech, and on stemming proscribed outfits.

The remaining four (4) committees were led by finance minister Senator Ishaq Dar, on terror financing; information minister Senator Pervaiz Rashid, on militant glorification in media, and on justice system reforms; Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehtab Khan, on FATA reforms and smooth return of Internally Displaced Persons.

In addition to these, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was to head a special committee overseeing overall implementation of the NAP.

The solution is simple: Replace those two chairmen with serving Generals to get the work done.
