(Darker the colour, the more Pakistanis, Green = Pakistani state)

The Pakistani diaspora refers to overseas Pakistanis, who are Pakistani citizens that have migrated to another country, as well as people of who are of Pakistani descent. There are approximately 4.2 million Pakistani people living abroad with a vast majority of them residing in the Middle East and Europe. Most Pakistanis I know in Canada never want to return to Pakistan

That might be the case, I know, but I do know most still keep some link back home, in one way or another.
Many want to invest back home but fear that it'll all go to waste.
That's the real problem I think, many people have stopped trusting Pakistan...

.
In the U.S at least, a lot of people I know would go back to Pakistan if the security situation improved drastically and if there wasn't rampant corruption and cheating there.

Many people did go back during the Musharraf era

The Pakistani Diaspora, are patriotic - generally when you meet them - they are totally clued up on the latest developments, they also heavily invest in property, and support extended family.

Some of them are disappointments.

I will send you something.

Got it bro, but when you talk of millions of people, there will always be a few turds.

Many of them are here with us in important positions, within the government and this website. It makes me sad for our children's future.

....It makes me sad for our [American born/raised] children's future.

Not sure if this should be an overarching statement. Pak children growing up in America have fantastic opportunities for education and jobs. During my visits to American and Canada, I found most of the kids doing really well in studies. Off course there are bad apples in every community.

peace.
