Pakistan defiant on Iran gas pipeline

Sorry mate that is not an insult there are many on here that lack both qualities

Moving along, may I still request a response to Post #49, please?

===============================

Wait and see? Whether the pipeline has reached the border or not? You have said it has "reportedly" reached the border.

Since that event has already happened (allegedly), it would be appropriate to request from you some corroboration. Right?

So, any evidence that the pipeline has reached the border from the Iranian side?

(we can look at the other points later.)

Cheng as a kid did you get slapped for not accepting no as an answer.

My childhood has nothing to do with your so far unsupported claim that the pipeline has reached the border.

Can we please stay on topic. Thanks.

Any corroboration of your oft-repeated claim would be appreciated.

I can not be bothered at the moment if I change my mind I will let you know. btw I referred to the various reports in Pakistani and International press. They were not my claims as you put it.

Any links to said reports?

I swear we should ditch Saudi Arabia and U.S now for Iran and Russia. This is a once in a life time opportunity we are getting...

Pakistan has wasted many once-in-a-lifetime "opportunities" before. What makes you think this one will be taken advantage of, assuming one exists (which likely does not)?

They are all on cars thread that was merged or are on the site on threads with pipeline. suggest do a search. If I make a suggestion when you have a couple of hours read the cars thread not skim read.

The reason I have this vision of Iran China Pakistan and Russia is cos I believe that America is pushing or crossing red lines of these 4 countries so immaterial of ideology or desire of the individual country they are being pushed together by America. Unintended consequences. Oh by the way read Freakonomics if you get chance and try to think outside the box. just a suggestion that you might enjoy.

cb4 I love comments like this. we do not have a choice. they have already for all intents and purposes ditched us. putin choosing to make Pakistan his first overseas visit is not just to make polite conversation with Zardari and Gillani

It is symbolic. remember Obama went to India not pakistan

Yes, you are so convinced of your "vision" that evidence is being blithely overlooked to the contrary. That does not serve Pakistan well at all, including where this pipeline is concerned.

Edit: How about answering Niaz TT's points about why the pipeline is unlikely?

Saudis provided $1.5 billion of free oil during 2008 economic crisis in Pakistan apart from the free oil Pakistan is getting. So, can Pakistan defy Saudi Arabia for their Arch-rival Iran. Pakistan will suffer a lot economically if they will go against Saudi Arabia.

good point. however we did make nukes cos we needed to. the alliance and pipeline I am talking about is a response to an existential threat to Pakistan

all it takes is diplomacy.....the Pakistani mission simply needs to make its case known in Riyadh.

Saudi Arabs are not difficult people to convince. They may not ''like'' the pipeline, but so be it. I dont think the Saudis either would undertake any move that alienates or upsets Pakistan; they'll have no choice but to remain neutral - even if theyre grumbling behind the scenes

in this life and in this world let me assure you their are no free lunches. Sauds have had their moneys worth. you will note in China or Pakistan we do not do things like India where a press conference is given because Indian govt has decided to do something we just do it

See that tends to be the problem. We people rely everything on Zardari and Gilani.
This government of ours is fake autocratic. Should we just let it go?
Absolutley not. Just blame the people for having these ba***ds for years.
Our local businessmen are dying to have good relations with India. Heck we are begging for Tata Nano, Electricity, Meat, Tea worth Billions of dollars from our pocket annually. The question is, why can't we do all these same things with Iranian companies that are also right next to us? The U.S and Arabians can't just shoot every single person you know...:coffee:

Mr Niaz is a man I respect as a Pakistani patriot but I think he represents a different generation than perhaps myself and maybe he is a bit pessimistic and I a bit optimistic, but we both wish well to Pakistan

Sir I have no issues with what you say and believe we should do whatever is in Pakistan's best interest
