1971 was an issue between west and east Pakistan...
Bangladeshis wanted seperate country, they should have been given that simply!
India role simply was to be a chest thumping gorilla which just sided with the winning party.

why we need revenge? We should thank India for correcting an geographical abnormality in Pakistani state, bengal should have never been part of Pakistan, instead of blaming India, we should blame greedy Muslim League who opted for this abnormal arrangement. we should blame Muslim league for agreeing to divide Punjab and Bengal when Hindu bhaiyya and other dravidian got all of their land despite 15 to 20% Muslim population in their states.. Who should we blame for it, Nehru, Gandhi or Muslim League?

go read the speech of Allahabad given by Allama Iqbal, he never mentioned bengal, all he wanted was independent Muslim state in north western subcontinent.

Let's assume your scenario. Pakistan does nothing.

China by itself will decide someday to cut off northeast India at some point. The same way Bangladesh because of its geography was inevitably going to be cut off from Pakistan, it is pretty clear northeast India will see a similar fate. Nobody can seriously look at a map of India and think that such a vulnerable region can be a part of India forever.

As the saying goes, you only have to succeed once. China only has to win once to cut off northeast India forever.

Pakistan could kill two birds with one stone:

1. Get revenge for 1971 by cutting off Northeast Indian states from India at vulnerable Siliguri corridor by instigating a proxy war. Bangladesh and China would probably support separation of northeast Indian states from India and could split up new territory. ISI is already present in Nepal and Bhutan has a security agreement with China for the Doklam Plateau.

2. Use this opportunity to start a three front war where India is distracted trying to save northeast states from being lost to China and Bangladesh, diverting resources away while Pakistan takes all of Kashmir. Indian military has admitted they cannot win a two-front war, there is no way India could win a three front war.

Need to look straight to the truth.
The current India is not India in 1971. They have nuclear weapons, and US support. A new war between the two sides only resulted in catastrophic consequences for the people of Pakistan and India. No one will win.

I do not understand this silly myopic view of such kind of news by Pakistan. Both India and Pakistan are nuclear for makinng sure there boundary is not changed...If any country will change it, the reaction will be a complete nuclear war...
