Yemeni soldiers and their allies fired a Borkan-1 (Volcano-1) missile towards King Abdulaziz International Airport, located 19 kilometers north of the western Saudi port city of Jeddah, Arabic-language al-Masirah television network reported.

A military source, speaking on condition of anonymity, later told the official Saba news agency that the 12.5-meter-long missile had hit its target accurately and left massive destruction at the airport.

Saudi media outlets, however, reported that the kingdom’s missile systems intercepted and destroyed the solid propellant and Scud-type missile before it could cause any damage.

If the Houthis DID IN FACT fire a missile at our holy sites then they are in BIG trouble from Muslims around the world. OR is this some attempt to get Muslims riled up so we start going after them?

I think this is propaganda against huthis. Not that I support them but shias as well as sunnis have an equal and indestructible love for the Prophet and his city, Mecca. What is more worrying in Islamic history point of view is the bombardment of Mecca by Hajjaj bin Yousuf and Husain Ibn Numair. Similar examples are of kharijite terrorists like Juhayman al-Otaybi.

Mecca has been threatened numerous times despite the order for muslims not to fight there. Shia and Sunnis must work hard to eliminate their differences. It is for the best of Islam.

Makkah is the holiest place in the Islamic world. Who ever attacks Makkah and Medina is the enemy of Pakistan. Before we carry out any form of retaliation we should make sure that we have our facts right. Otherwise in the Saudi Houthi war let's hope for the best.

China needs that oil supply to continue...from many countries too. CHina is giving KSA and Iran what they both want so that none of them boycotts China's needs. China doing drill with KSA doesnt mean CHina will come to KSA help is any war starts. How have CHina even heped Saudis on Yemen war? Yemen and KSA are far away from TUrkey to even send any considerable number of troops there and keep them there repelenished and stuff. Poor muslim countries fight very well, thats the trend i've noticed- afghanistan, yemen, somalia. EVen strongest muslim militaries will get bogged there. clear your eyes of optimistic dreams. Yemen is a suckout and KSA will lose. They cant reinstall Hadi and never will.

If rebels fighting assad in syria , are terrorists then Houthis are also terrorists and needs to be crushed....We won't bomb houthis unless they attack or march towards KSA.....No one is sending troops to yemen...But KSA will be guarded, whether u like it or not...

Pakistan is nuke power of Muslim world....It has to play role one way or either....We know that and we will protect our interests....Our people, including Shias, are earning their bread and butter in ME.......we know with whom to side if shit hits the fan...

China knows the strategic importance of KSA....the bonhomie will only increase...
